I'm not 100% on it but I though they used a different changer, could be wrong though. Yes it'll connect at the back of the headunit, blue plug usually.
Only if you bring the clutch up first whilst the box is in neutral, otherwise your just taking load off the clutch not the syncros. You need to drop the box into neutral and blip the revs to where they'll be in the gear your going to select then quickly declutch and select the gear, you'll know...
PPC did an article on chopping springs a few issues back apparently its ok as along as you do it right, still I wouldn't fancy it myself.
Would've though something like prolines would suite the cup over the sportlines.
You can remove the tension on the springs before the nut comes off the top of the strut. I wouldn't and won't be doing it without compressors though, its a very bad habit to get into. As plenty of people have said, there dangerous things if you piss about with them.
I don't think thats too bad really, especially for a renault garage. You can leave the water pump on the 1.6 though, the whole job is a bit of a pig to do tbh.
