Have (tried) to fit a Cobra 3868 this afternoon. Due to the major lack of info about i've followed this wiring diagram:
http://www.m-sjoberg-ab.se/pdf/Manual/3800_3868schema.pdf Although I don't know what the brown (brun) wire is going to or is for ???
Its working to the sense that it can flash...
I reused mine when I did the gearbox, torqued them up and its 5k later and they haven't falled off yet touch wood. Haven't got dust caps on the fronts, have on the rears thought.
Yeh I can see that, its just that every other installation for the alarm i've looked at says to put the wire to a ground on the body and as it says to go to a black wire too i'm thinking its more than likely a mistake than anything else.
Looking at the Kangoo manual which is similar to a Clio...
Will try that and see what they say, in my mind it should work ok but just wanted to see what other people think.
Also, other than scotch blocks how can I connect the alarm to the UCH loom? would like to go for the as cleanest pro look I can.
If the item has turned up with the buyer then i've found that paypal are must less hasty to do anything. I bought something which wasn't even as described and paypal basically told me to f**k off its not our problem unless it doesn't turn up.
I'd tell her b****cks and see what comes of it.
Please bear with me here as this is a bit of a mammoth post but I want your opinion as to whether you think i'm right much as anything else.
Righto want an alarm and considering what I can get the alarm itself for and compared to the fitted price i'm going to fit it myself.
Not really bothered...
Why thank you :) :o.

Nowt special but i'm happy with it, only things that had changed is that i've added some silver 1.6 16v badges.
Rear discs were an option apparently on the 1.6 and dCi100, looked for one for ages before giving up and just settling for drums. Will make bugger all difference to braking apparently but they do look a damn sight better.
My god that ebay axle is dead tempting though, could pick it up from MK as...
Spotted a petrol blue 182 parked on the side of the road opposite the texaco, seen it round a few times I think.
Lovely colour, no idea if its anyones on here but as theres only 9 in the country I thought i'd post it up.
Sunroof should be covered under warrenty, mine was although don't expect it to be a permanent fix as most peoples seem to be ok for about 6 months then they start rattling again. Had a new surround fitted on mine about 2 months ago and so far its been rattle free although i'm using it as little...
I've used the two isofix bar bolts in the boot for earths on both my mk2 clios and have never had a problem with either.
Bonnet release grommet is the way to go I've got 4awg through it without too much hassle did take some fighting but nothing major. My tip would be not to pull the grommet out...
Not sure whether it'll work or not but its cheaper and it'll be a better sat nav if you just bought a tomtom of some sort. Not a much fun or a cool looking but hey ho.
The radio code should be in the front of the service booklet if you have it. If not renault can give it you at a cost but I think they need several details about the car before they'll give it you.
