    Insurance on a V6 at 20 - 1793

I'm thinking now that I'm gonna wait a bit longer. Had a word with ym dad about it and said I'd be getting a loan, and he wasn't too pleased, I have no need to do it, just really want one. So decided I'm gonna save up like mad for the next few months and set myself up for it. In the mean...

Just double checked it dude, the only thing that is not 100% correct is I've brought my birthday forward so that I can get a quote for it today.

    Insurance on a V6 at 20 - 1793

Admiral have just quoted me 1k renewal on my 182, which means I guess there is no mega rush if I decide to hold off for a few months and save some more cash. Although, will have a day to day van soon, so come may the 182 can go and I can survive without a car for a while until i find the...

    Insurance on a V6 at 20 - 1793

    Insurance on a V6 at 20 - 1793

Looking at a 5k loan over 18 months, easily affordable, would make my outgoings a month to about 700 a month, leaving me over a grand left, which should see me being fine. Tempting isn't the word, if the insurance actually ends up being that price, there will be a lot of picture whoring coming...

    Insurance on a V6 at 20 - 1793

Just got a quote direct from Admiral. 20 3NCB 3 years driving 3 points SP30 non fault accident 'D' rated postcode. Social, Domestic and pleasure only, upto 7k miles a year, parked on a driveway. My mum as a named driver on the policy, on this V6...

    Insurance on a V6 at 20 - 1793

Well it would be around 4k for tax, insurance and fuel for a year for me, so not exactly cheap. However I paid 1800 for the 182 insurance, and i think i would see above 20mpg from the V6, so half as much again to fuel over the 182. If I was smart and waited another 6 months then i wouldnt need...

You actually selling Cat? I think it's gotta be a ph2 for me though, although yours is nice! How much? I could easily 'afford' it, I just sometimes have problems justifying so much money on cars, but then im only young once as Dave says! Doing a nice excel spreadsheet at the minute!

    Insurance on a V6 at 20 - 1793

Didn't think I could insure one until I was 21, just been playing with quotes and Admiral have come up trumps at a touch under 1800 quid. Now, a V6 is like my realistic dream car at the minute, and if the insurance does come in at under 2k then I'm pretty sure I'll do it to be honest, but not...

    AST's Fitted

Best choice, I need to get down there as soon as I get paid to get mine set up, looking forward to it!

From dirt to clean, AST's, Yozza exhaust inc.

^ Feels a hell of a lot more composed, but at the minute the handling is worse because theyu arent set up properly. Firmer but smoother ride, stiffer in a good way. It's like the improvement from going from cup suspension to the H&R's, that step up again.

I did that for the H&R's but still doing it somewhere!

    Yozza exhaust and Decat....

    It's 2.5", I wasn't aware there were 2 options?

Gave the car a once over after work, not been done in a few weeks so was looking a little worse for wear! Nothing special, just a wash mitt and some water, needs a proper clay, polish and wax but i'll do that when I get the chance, possibly tomorrow as I'm not working! AST's are awesome, but...

    50mpg from my 182!

People with rubbish MPG should change the pre cat lambda sensor, mine was gone and only got 28mpg on a steady 70 mile run on thursday. Changed it now and I'm getting 33mpg around town.

It's higher now than in those pics, was so low it would move! At the minute they are terrible, I put them on cool settings (low) so just gonna run them for a few weeks and play about before I get them pro set up at powerstation.

    Grumpy (not very) old Man

I do most of the stuff on my cars, suspension, brakes, little fixes etc. But i will never try to save a bit of money and not get the stamp in my service book. Just not worth it come sale time. I love messing about with them, but at the same time I'm happy to hold my hands up and admit that I...

The lowest 182, was it mine...?! (tons of pics)

Can't believe how much adjustment there is though, the forst pics posted, I had 75mm thread elft on the front to go down and around 100mm on the back!! Even how it sits now is maybe only 1/4 - 1/3 of the way down the thread on the rear! Not sure whether to get the stiffer spring option, that...

The lowest 182, was it mine...?! (tons of pics)

^ Cheers mate. Yeah I remember saying that when you started your project thread! I'm never happy to be honest, I love playing around with the car and doing bits and bobs to it so just keep wasting money! Good way to waste it though, the car looks and sounds s**t hot in my opinion.
