A couple of quick ones taken a second ago, bad quality on my phone but you get the idea!!
Get your camber on....
Note, camber is no longer that negative, I sorted it out today!
Hopefully getting set up properly asap when the lad is free.
Hmm, I'd rather not grind anything though....although I know it is probably the only way!!
It isnt catching much so hopefully it will just stop once I cut the arch liner piece out, although it isnt far to wearing through!
Does the tyre make a differnt noise when on the bracket compared with...
Sorted it out today, took the back nicely lower, and levelled the front down and went lower too, got some catching on the arch liner though, so I need to do something with that before it wears through onto the bumper bracket....anyone got any advice/ideas?!
http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=2215 - job done.
I want them, need some money first though!
Rotas are very light. Might be worth looking at mx5 wheels, but the mx5 has a centre bore of 54.1mm so would need some that have run on spiggot rings.
Haha, I almost thought you were being serious then!
Anyone who hasnt done that and have that application should be stripped of the iphone and flogged....when i rule the world....!
I thought it would be an actual use for it other than sitting at work for 20 mins at a time balancing it on my hand and trying to get it perfectly flat...!!!
This is currently how the camber is set, not the best pic i know!
And this is the angle it sits at, screen print from my iphone - highly accurate!!!
So that shows how much the wheel is sat at neg camber, any ideas how much it is iset to, I was thinking 2 degrees would be a lot less...
Haha, aye!
Was a VERY good price so had to dive in and go for it!
New news, gonna set the height etc up properly tomorrow, lower at the back etc, then waiting for a friend of a friend who sets up the suspension on race cars (set up and raced an ep3 civic that came 6th in the Britcar 24hour...
Thanks mate :D
Gonna get the 15's, some buckets, semi strip it and get on track as much as possible to be honest, hopefully this year but if not early next year.
Cheers mate.
Yeah the back will be going all the way down, and the front I'll take a bit lower too. Think I may have found the 15's I want too so hopefully have them on at some point.
Cheers, will be better when I sort the height!
First time I lowered my 1.2 it took maybe 5 hours doing it using a guide from here, it isnt hard, one of the jobs that is easy once you have done it! If you want me to write you a step by step guide in detail pm me, i have lots of spare time in...
Thanks :D
Yeah all in all baout 2.5 hours. Second set of H&R's I've fitted, done some FK's, then I have put springs on a 182, 172, 4 1.2s. And also fitted coilovers to my old Lupo GTi!
Haha, the tyre is still there mate, just let me know.
Cheers mate, once it is levelled out and lower, on some 15's in Kwak green and stripped with some bucket seats then i'll be onto a winner :D
Not pushed it yet, just took it for a spin to make sure it was safe to drive.
Back will be going down loads yet, just wanted to get them on tonight, the i can spend tomorrow and friday messing about with different heights etc before i get them set up
Was gonna do these on friday after finishing work early, but got home at 4 and decided to crack on with them since I was bored!!
Had a similar problem as with fitting r8byb's, the rear set up wouldnt go up through the trialing arm so some fettling was needed, but all in all went smoothly...
Yup, I hope so!
Saw them on ebay and got myself a bit of a bargain in my opinion.

Although not sure why he thinks they will fit a 172!!
Can't wait, need some 15's now too!
I bought a set for £80, spent an evening refurbing them in anthracite, had them on the car for a month and sold them for £320 :D
Getting rarer though it seems, and more and more VAG people want them, the new craze is skinny wheels tucked into the arches and on the floor apparently.
Buy a pug 307 mk2 splitter like mine (search in Clio Media) fits decent enough, finishes off the front end and costs £35 brand new.
Plus it is rubbery so won't snap off!
Needs trimming slightly on each end once fitted, job done.
