Thanks Coby :)
Yeah I know the wheel bolts hold them on properly, but using the Torx helps to seat them properly on the hub.
Should I use some copper slip on the rear side of the disc and hub mating face?
Gonna be fitting my new discs soon, I bought them new but second hand if you knwo what I mean, in the box came 2 new Torx screws, but each disc uses 2. Will the original ones be ok to use or do they need to be replaced too?
If they do, where can I buy some? Part number?
Thanks,
SM, it is quite solid, but I'm worried now so I will shift it!
Dan don't tempt me, I do want it but my insurance will rape me on performance mods, especially being 19! Plus I need to start saving money! Keep it another year then ask me :D
The refurb I did was completely rushed, so they dont look as pretty up close.
I'll do them properly over christmas i think. Unsure on going Matt again, or Satin or Gloss though...
Was in an old box with gaffer tape, thats it!
£10 seems like a lot though, my original message said
'Why £25 postage, I can get a set of wheels sent for that, I know discs are heavy but even so it will not be that much'
Thanks Doug :)
Rob yeah I reckon so, I still have the nut in at the back, and the fronts have miles lower to go!
Dan, yeah I do want ITB's but doubt I could afford them!
Worth a try, not expecting it back but for the sake of a few emails I''ll give it a go.
DRRollo I did know about the postage obviously, but it was so blatently a lot cheaper, i would have paid more for the discs if the bidding went higher, thats the risks of ebay not putting a BIN on or...
The isofix is only in at the minute as I've got decat, brake discs, fluid and some other buts in the boot which the net doesnt hold down too well, so just trying to minimise the risk of them flying forwards in a heavy braking situation a bit more.
It will be removed once everything is fitted.
I recently bought an item (new front discs) and the item ad said £25 postage on it. I questioned this before bidding asking why it was so much, along with another question. The second question was answered but the postage one was ignored, but because they were so cheap I just bidded and won...
^ not cheap enough for me though mate, i'm pretty skint and killing my finger means no weekend work for about 5-6 weeks so thats hitting my pocket pretty badly at the minute :(
I love the wheels, need to do a proper refurb job on them at some point though.
Thanks.
I'm thinking about std bump strips (uncolourcoded) some smoothed dark bullets and some matt black mirror covers....
Got my bargain discs delivered just, brand new brembo max's, £48 delivered :D
Thanks for the replies :)
