Shouldn't be much, at 19 with 2NCB a 1.6 was the same price as my 1.2.
Norwich Union have always been good for me, just try every company you can think of.
I know a lad who makes manifolds for bike carbs onto cars, easy job and not very expensive.
Also according to a lad who has fitted carbs to 2 of his cars it's fairly easy with a bit of technical know how
Sorry to hijack, but I have Weitecs on my Lupo and they are awesome. Never been in a car with H&R's admittadly but I doubt you will be anything but stunned by the ride and handling. I'm down about 70mm and I can go over draincovers and hardly feel anything, nice and stiff but very well damped.
Apparently KW's are the same as Weitecs (which I have) and mine are amazing.
Excellent quality, and the ride is nothign short of awesome for saying I have a very low and stiff car. Not much difference from the standard ride of the Lupo which I was very shocked with!
Plus the KW's should be a...
Yeah you speak the truth mate, idea had been in my head about maybe a nice 197 middle of next year.
I just saw a mint cup for sale and it got me thinking!
Yeah I know what you mean, I do try and cut out the short journeys as much as possible, but it gets to the point where I want to drive to justify to myself owning such a nice car and not some shitty bag of nails!
I'm not really complaining about it, affording it isn;t an issue as I only use 3...
Well it is a waste of time really.
I wrote the pros and cons from what i could think off the top of my head, one of them being the Lupo turns heads.
I didnt buy the car for that reason but I like the fact people are interested by the car.
Thanks for the replies, all points make sense. To be...
I really fancy a cup, but I'd rather get a bit of money out of the Lupo and put in the bank to be honest.
Trust me the Lupo turns a lot of heads, a lot of people have no idea what a Lupo GTi is, and it surprises a lot of cars speed wise.
Whats the details for it mate?
You selling up?
I'm just worried about going from a well built awesome little car with lots of toys to something with none.
Pros:
Cheaper to run (Lupo only does 30mpg)
Looks awesome
Quicker
Release some cash from the Lupo
Newer than the Lupo
Cons:
Insurance is more
Tax is more
Won't turn as many heads...
As some of you know I have a Lupo GTi.
Been through some different stages with it for the last few months, and recently I have really started to love it and was set on keeping it.
BUT....
I keep seeing 172's around and looking on autotrader, I still really want one.
I've found a nice low...
I've seen it in the flesh and it's pretty lary but at least it has been done 100%, and it is stupidly good quality.
As said, at least he looks after it and doesn't smoke around in it acting like a chav.
I think the biggest flaw on the car is the sunroof (obviously can't be helped) as it looks...
My Lupo did it when I picked it up, but after keeping it running on the highest speed setting for a good 15 minutes it cleared up and went.
I use it every 2-3 days as well even if not needed just to make sure it keeps working properly.
Nice!
Back when these were new my dads mate had one built specifically for him because ford wouldnt give him one!
He regularly beat roger Clarke even though he was an amatuer, but that ended when he got greedy with a second place and stacked it into a lake!
I think my dad said the car had...
Aye, long story with it!
Was gonna get rid because I wasn't enjoying it as much as I hoped.
Then started to enjoy it, but owe my dad about £10k for work on my house, so thought I'd sell it to pay him off a big chunk of that.
Then he said to not sell it and he'd wait an extra 4/5 months for the...
