Aye thats the plan. But I can't do without a car, so I need to literally have the Lupo picked up, and then get dropped off to pick up the new car.

I'm not going higher than £6k for that black one though, not with the amount of work that it needs on it. A £500 banger will lose next to nothing if it comes Tax'd and MOT'd so would do me for a few months. Insurance would be cheaper for a bit, plus gives me time to find a real perfect car...

I'm thinking, maybe get a £500 run around and wait for the perfect car to come along? Also gives me some more time to save up some extra cash for one?

Yeah, undestand exactly what you mean. The buyer for my car wants it on Sunday though, so i'd like to get one sorted for then. With it being local-ish too it makes things much more simple. I really want it, but need to keep my sensible head on.

Thats a good call. But it is immaculate, and is a stunning looking car. Plus there aren't many around at all with the criteria I have. The brakes will last a month easy, the tyres will last 2 months at a guess so it isn't all straight away, but fairly soon after buying.

I'm waiting for a proper quote from Birchdown, but how much would you guess the following will be on a 182? 48k service New rear discs and pads Brembo max front discs, braided hoses and DS2500 pads. All fitted. Just rough to the nearest £100 would be spot on please.

It's either THAT 172, or a 182. I'm not really interested in any other 172's now as I have enough for a decent 182.
