Can't get thr front top mounts undone on my car at all, help!
I'm doing it properly, done them many times before.
Used loads of penetrant fluid, heated it up etc, it won't budge.
Will it make a difference to trying to crack them off when the car is in the air, normally do this when the car...
I love it!
There was a few lads who I went to school with used to laugh at me when I was 18 and still had my 1.2 Clio when they had 1.6 astras and focus's. Yesterday I called at my local cash machine and saw them, their jaws hit the floor when they saw me get into the 182!!
I love rubbing it...
Never spotted it on ebay!
But no, was from mansfield in nottingham.
Thanks for the comments, I love it so much!
Need to limit my driving though because one of the front tyres is borderline illegal and can't get them changed until Tues afternoon, gutted!
Ah right I see.
Thanks for the help. I was 99% sure they would be exactly the same but the bloke will br travelling a bit of distance so thought it would be best to double check.
It's done a little over 35k miles. FRSH including the 36k & aux belt at Renault last week.
Yeah, put one of these on my mates 172 as well, looks nice and subtle and almost original except for the split line in the centre. Bit of a ballache to fit, and it doesn't look 100% in person, more like...
Yeah they are all flies on the front!
Just waiting for the sun to drop a bit and I'll get the fly remover on it before they bake on too much!
Few stone chips, a small scuff on the side trim and a dent in the roof, but paid a very good price so not fussed at all :D
Well, here she is!
Picked it up yesterday and it is awesome! Love everythign about it!
Plans are:
2 new PE2's - Tuesday
Eibach springs - Possibly this weekend
Silver visions - Whenever
Petrol - as and when ;)
Splitter - fitted today
Sort out dent and a few stoneschips - whenever i can...
Right, just checking that there will be no nasty surprises when fitting H&R's?
Fitted a set of FK's to my mates 172 before, and I have done suspension on various Clio's, but just want to make sure there is nothing extra to look out for or needs doing when fitting these?
Haha, pics will come when I get them off my camera!
So far I have just put a pug 307 splitter on the front, so finishes it off nicely! Got a set of eibach's coming asap, and 2 new PE2's on tuesday when they are delivered.
Need to get some silver indicators and then the car will be looking...
I love it!
I had my Lupo GTi for a few months inbetween, I didn't expect the Clio to feel this much faster than it does, but f**k me it is mental!
Got some bits to go on it over the next few days, can't wait!
I was gonna ring you about this when I saw it on Pistonheads, but then it dissapeared.
If I hadn't bought one I would be calling you tomorrow!
Good luck with the sale.
What flux said on the phone was, out of 100 182's they insure, maybe 20% would be modified, so of the standard and modified cars that were claimed upon, the ratio was in the favour of modified ones, so they are classed as lower risk.
(figures made up just as an example)
I'm after the sportlines in the for sale section at the minute, I want a subtle drop, just slightly lower than the pros.
I wouldn't bother to be honest, but having the car on a modified policy drops the insurance by £250, and the springs are £150 tops so I end up quids in!
Yeah, did about 100 miles in it today, and it is just perfect!
Hopefully got a set of eibach springs on the way, then I'll get a cheaper good splitter on the front, and job done!
Don't think it will be going for a good amount of time, i just love it!
No mate left that one.
I've got an 05 Silver with cup packs. Done 35k miles, just had the 36k service with aux belt, FRSH. I love it!
Was shocked at the speed I could carry through the bends compared to the Lupo and my lowered 1.2 (gay comparrison i know!) without even trying!
