The original seat rail studs were M8.

Washers are fine, the bolts should be if they are high tensile. Usually only 8.8 grade though, i'd personally look for 10.9 or 12.9 grade.

What i've always wondered is how they get metallic like finishes with powdercoat? Surely because the powder is basically a plastic attracted to a static charge, then adding metallic flake wouldn't stick? Or do they powdercoat them first and then apply a painted layer over the top to get the...

I think you get more mid range torque with the 197 cams too, which these cars need really. They've not got a lot below 5k really.

If you're getting the belts done anyway then yeah, but if not i'd leave it until you do. Good to get the rocker cover resealed anyway cos most of them weep oil from the bolts. You'll make high 180's - early 190's with them.

Yeah they would be on your own. You've got the fuel tank on the driver's side in the way so you can't pull the beam bolt out because it's so long, on the passenger side you can just about squeeze past the brake lines. We ended up dropping the 6 bolts that hold the beam bracket to the car, but...

Fuel pump is in the tank mate. Get to it from under the rear seats when you lift them up.

Flashing EML is usually an injector on these Meganes. Looks to have leaned out.

In theory it should be ok yeah, but i'd get it dyno'd at least so they can check the AFR's.

So are you rebuilding it then getting it mapped properly so that it doesn't eat plugs this time?
