You'd think that they would leave the curved edges out of the touch receptive area, because as you say, you have to hold the phone by it's sides.

Just stops water over time i guess. Probably want to replace it at some point, or just another linkage if it fails again 😂

Did you make sure the locating pin lined up with the hole/bung in the linkage?

In the packaging on a shelf somewhere in the dark, they should be ok. It's open ones left in sunlight that would be no good.

Should still work even if the part number is different mate. It's only the motor connections that vary and that can be easily sorted like i said by swapping the motor over.

They came standard on some Lotus cars.

I'm not into the curved screens tbh and imo they're asking to get cracked more easily if dropped with it going edge to edge. The software stuff looks ok though.

Just a thought too, the linkages are the same it's only the motor connections that are different from early models to later. My mate had a ph1 clio and when his linkage went he bought a ph2 one and we just swapped the motor over.

Yeah the new bridge caught me out too. I come from Warrington side so down the Daresbury Expressway you have to go past the first exit for Astmoor Industrial Estate and take the next one and come in from the other end of that road to turn right into EFI.

As long as it's not from a ph1 Clio, it should fit. 4 pin connector rings a bell.

Yeah you're right about Island Bend, it's about 95-100mph so 3rd is no good really. Stay in 4th down Lakeside, quick dab of the brakes and then in and back on the power. Hard on the brakes for Shell, down into 3rd then 2nd.

I find 2nd gear for Shell and the chicanes a lot better too. Especially up the hill out of the first chicane, the Clios lack the pulling power in 3rd.

Would have to get the anodizing off first i'd imagine.
