Also by all accounts the VTS airbox is sh*tter than sh*tty sh*t!!!! Seriously bad design.
By replacing this on a VTS is is possible to see 5-10 bhp. Even replacing with an open cone shows an increase!
So if its restictive on a 1.6 then i cant see it doing anything for a 2.0.
Again...
Probably the connection under the seat mate. common fault. If you have a Mk2 172 or 182 i would check the wiring under the passenger seat, have a fiddle with it make sure nothings popped out etc and see if that helps.
If not there is a guide on here to cut and re-join the wires to sort the...
My money would be on the fact the didnt phone him to tell him and instead in 1000 miles he will be back in asking why the hell he cant stop and is hearing a loud grinding noise from his NEW pads.
You did do well tho mate ;)
Maybe i am wrong then, from what i understood tho in some cases you didnt have to give reg numbers. Like i said probably wrong as i am only going off what i have heard
If it was under a fleet/motor trader type policy then as far as i know the insurance company dont need the car reg numbers of all the cars you have onsite. Therefore maybe the garage got the car and registered it (hense one owner) Then Mr machanic etc got a bit over excited on a drive for the...
HaHa
You know i like your new motor Ad, even if it does yell chav quite loud :)
Yeah black ph2 on my ph1. The wheels are perm till feb/march time next year, so over winter really. Just drop me a txt/call when your about mate and can meet up. I know your away most of week now in fancy...
1st comment i dont think your mate can drive, or has poor reaction times unless your 172 is modded quite a bit
2nd comment Wrong Section and will soon me moved/deleted i suspect
Not in a while mate now you mention it.
I was getting petrol there the other day, guy on the till said " you trying to make your 1.2 clio sound like a porsche, I have a VTR and thats properly quick"
I had to laugh lol
I might be on smack yeah :S
Talking about having words i am not the one ditching the RWD 2 seater fun for something else which i doubt i am allowed to disclose yet.
P.S. They are nice wheels but a. i fancied a change and b. 17's are no good for my future plans ;)
Yeah Dan i am happy, i like...

Hmmmm another Black Ph-Quick in warrington  Thought i had the only one. Bugger
Yeah steve if you see a greeny/blue vectra beep at you that will be me
Just spoke to gf, she said she drove past the shell garage but didnt go in, so maybe not my car.
Was it ph1, debadged bonnet, black wheels and ph-quick stickers on side?
If not wasnt me.
I do see you a lot tho steve, usually knocking around birchwood area, i am usually in my vectra tho...
Yes you would. In some cases it might be cheaper to get a cliosport!
I remember a mate few years back converted a fiesta 1.1 with an RS bodykit, by the time he finished and insured it, it came out as £100 more than it would have cost to insure a RS lol
Guessing they are standard size yeah, if not will be 205 at most but not sure on the size.
So long as they wont rub enough for it to cause problems travelling from stafford to warrington then that will be ok ;)
Cheers for the offer of the spacers mate, might need em lol
Well at the mo its not lowered so should be ok without the spacer you think? Well enough to travel the 50 or so miles home? As getting the wheels tomorrow aft and might not have time to get spacers in the morning.
Hey guys
Will Mk2 Ph2 172 Alloys (Offset being 48.5) fit a Ph-Quick or will i need 5mm spacers so they dont rub?
Need a quick answer if poss as getting some ph2 alloys tomorrow and need to know whether or not i need to pick up some spacers in the morning to lower the offset from 48.5...
It will go down as a fault claim tho. Not a non fault claim. Unless they have caught the person who stole it and recover the costs of the claim so i would expect it to rise tbh
If i had a 172 at 17 i wouldnt of drove it, too busy drinking obscene amounts of beer while at college and waking up next to girls that i couldnt remember the name of then, let alone now. You say it in such a way to almost rub peoples faces in the fact your 17 with a 172.
If i am honest mate...
