Amber Engine Light (on The Dash Board)

on me way to work this morning the amber light on me dash board came on so have left me car allday parked up then got into it the afternoon and the light was still on have had look through the reno manual and all it say's is to just let it cool and then it should be off . can anyone advise me as to what to do please .

Well theres a few amber lights on the dashboard so it could be a variety of things, what does it look like ?

nope no decat .

the amber engine one with the fan the one for the coolant .

have just done a little check around the engine bay and there was a plug hanging of at the front under the fuel rail guard just above the oil filter .
