Custom map or anyone with rs tuner in northants

Blue smoke usually indicates it's burning oil mate, so probably not the map in my opinion. Oh yeah, and it's bought, not brought.

debating to get a black sun strip ? (opinions)

Terrible! Also, not favourable at MOT time!

    Oil,coolant

Coolant - you want Renault Type D, I don't think there is anything else that matches it. If you put the wrong stuff in it can make a mess. Oil, something that meets RN0710, RN0700

    iPhone 6 thread.

I can get you the 20% discount applied if you want @JP83. I get the discount for working for the NHS, and can have up to 4 friends and family - nobody in my family is on Voda so they are going unused. PM me if interested

How to remove front suspension top mounts

Not normally, the tend to undo the nut before the shaft moves.

    Question around personalised plates

It's more about when it comes to MOT time that it becomes an issue.

Recommend me a wheel brush for team dynamics / multispoke alloys please

I really meant in between cleans, etc. The 30 minutes or so while you are washing the car should be ok. Are they genuine Valet Pro ones? could be cheapo's. Where you getting them from?

    Goodyear F1 Asymmetric 2's Vs Michelin PS3's

PS3's for me. Cope with 350+lb-ft on a daily basis.

Recommend me a wheel brush for team dynamics / multispoke alloys please

Not leaving them wet are you? in the bottom of a bucket of water etc? My Valet Pro brush is also about 18mths old, and is still perfect.

    Smart Remotes....

I've got the Samsung smart remote. I use the pointer all the time, it's like using a Wii remote. I've used the voice recognition before, but it's a bit of a novelty that soon wears of!

    Apple Music/Beats 1

Apple Music is so SLOW compared to Spotify! Has anyone else noticed this?

    Question around personalised plates

On there site you can choose 'Standard UK plates' and in the t's & c's they state ' Number plates ordered from our Standard UK Plates section are manufactured to BS AU 145d standard and comply with UK legislation' You'll be fine with them as long as you choose the std plates.

    Amazon fire TV sticks

Plex for me too. PC in the garage with 4tb of storage, hard wired gigabit connections all around the house. Samsung smart TV with plex app. Oh, and 152mbps Virgin media, downloading at 15 - 20MB per second is fun! Takes no longer than 15 minutes to locate and download whatever we want to watch...

    Another boost thread

If it were me - i'd be looking to save the cash to put towards getting my own place, not blowing 5k+ on a Clio. Buying/renting your own home is only ever going to get more expensive, the earlier you get on the ladder the better.

Ph1 172 revs high or fluctuating when the clutch is engaged/neutral

Can't see the video @ work, however - could be an air leak of some sort from your description. Have you had the inlet off at any point?

    Making a Custom Exhaust

lol at cherry bomb, have I gone back in time to the late 80's early 90's? Personally i'd say 2", maybe 2.25", 2.5" will be overkill. I'm looking to upgrade the exhaust on my S40 at somepoint, and that's only likely to be 2.5" and that's for something turbocharged and 300+ bhp.

    S40 T5 sleeper project

1 very small update - i've pranged it! lol Backed into a metal gate, in my defence i've never known this gate to be closed and it's at a funny height. I couldn't see it in my rear view and the parking sensors didn't pick it up! No big deal, just needs a boot lid - i'm keeping my eye out on...

    Camcorders - Recommend me something!

We bought a JVC one in 2012 for about your budget. I have to be honest, the video quality from my iPhone 6 is much much better than that of the camcorder. The only good thing on the JVC is the 40x optical zoom. For that budget would it be worth looking into a second hand DSLR of some sort...

    Brake question..

Best to take a look youself, could have been trying to get business. Take the rear wheel off and inspect the discs for wear and damage, then check the meat left on the pads. This will give you an accurate idea.

    do clio sports always break??

Most of the things people are listing in here (brakes, oil, filters, suspension, tyres) are regular maintenence items. If you fail to keep on top of the servicing then of course things will go wrong!

    Clutch Release Bearing?

If that's the case, it's nothing to do with the release bearing. The release bearing is in the gearbox housing, so you'd not hear it near your feet.
  24. Chrisgti6

    Clutch Release Bearing?

It didn't cause any issues in the 12 months + that I ran it for. There's loads on 197.net that have the issue too, if it is that of course. Have a look in the brake fluid header, it's easy to tell if superblue was used, it's well err blue! It could potentially happen with other fluids, it just...

    Clutch Release Bearing?

It happened on my 197 when changing to ATE Superblue brake fluid. If its a creaking noise as you lift the clutch pedal it's probably that.

Recommend me a wheel brush for team dynamics / multispoke alloys please

C5, Valet pro brush and EZ Brush for me, then once every month or 2 I take them off and give the back a good clean. Comes up like new with very little effort. I have to be honest, the C5 isn't as good as I hoped it would be, I still get tar spots etc that won't shift without a decent...
