    Windows 10 Now live!

Thanks for info, still not sold though. My boot time is already sub 15 seconds (SSD), this machine has been built and running for about 14 months and has no noticable slow down in use. It's VERY stable, current run time is about 3 weeks without shutdown or reboot. My PC is by no means a fast or...

    Front brake help

I assume you bled the brakes? If so, how? One mad brake bleed kit, or two person pedal pump method? Strip it back down and check the following:- 1) is the caliper piston free moving. Can you push it back in easily - if not, then it could be a faulty/sticky caliper 2) do the pads move freely...

    Windows 10 Now live!

I'm still on Windows 7 - Should I upgrade? I'm not a gamer, my PC is mainly used as a Plex server, the odd bit of browsing and printing and that's about it. Worth the hassle of upgrading or stick with Win7?

Goodyear eagle F1 vs Michelin PS3

I've said it lot of times, but I run Pilot Sport 3's. They get hell on a daily basis with 350+lb-ft being forced through them and they cope fine. They have worn quickly but that is to be expected on a fairly heavy, fairly high powered FWD saloon. They are great in the dry, only coming unstuck...

    Gearbox oil

Well yes, but if that's the case then they probably shouldn't be working on the car themselves in the first place!
  11. Chrisgti6

    Gearbox oil

Full as in full to the fill hole. You can't fill it higher than that as oil will run back out of the hole. Hence the fill until it's full comment.

    Discs pads and brake fluid

Brembo HC discs, matching pads. As for fluid, some Motul RBF600 wuld do the trick. Contact @George@RTR_Parts he's the man for this stuff!

    Gearbox oil

Because there is no need. It's a sealed unit and doesn't/shouldn't use oil like an engine does. The only time you need to check the level is when filling it up, which is done easily (fill it until it's full!)

What is classed as high miles for a clio?

Average mileage is what? 10 - 12k a year? So work it out using that. a 10 year old car on 100k is average mileage, a 5 year old car on 100k is high mileage. 10 year old car on 50k is low mileage a 5 year old car on 50k is average mileage etc. Take my Volvo, it's just coming up to 70k...

    Air con not clicking on

It might, however if it is indeed because it needs regassing you need to investigate the cause for the rapid loss in the first place. It won't leak out in 3 days unless something happens. It could of course be something else, but the usual cause of a non-working A/C is lack of refridgerant.

Can only get 1mb broadband - alternatives?

You do realise that satellite and wireless broadband are different things don't you?
  25. Chrisgti6

    Air con not clicking on

Could have lost pressure, so the system won't power up. Not sure on the fuse though, but i'd say it's highly unlikely.

Can only get 1mb broadband - alternatives?

I'm certainly not saying it's the best idea, however it would be better than sattelite, and possibly better that the current connection?

Can only get 1mb broadband - alternatives?

No wireless internet options in your area? Near where I live we have this company (W3Z) who can provide internet wirelessly to your home. Various packages (none cheap!) You're looking at £40 a month for an unlimited 10mbps connection.

    Running PC with TV

I assumed the op already had a PC, hence my noise comments. Obviously he could build something silent but I was going with the idea that he was going to use his current setup.
