Threads are damaged on the fronts, not sure on the rears just yet! Are they just a standard flanged m12?

People who have removed their subframes, what have you replaced the bolts with? Cages have spun so i'll be looking at either replacing all the captives/cages with genuine then buying some high tensile bolts or am I better just replacing the captives with nylocs?

To be fair you can just say this with anything. I think if people aren't willing to do the research on what they're selling then that's their own fault. Everyone loves a bargain, and if something comes up cheap then you buy it. I think cat recyclers are able to get the maximum profit from them...

For any one in the future these are M10 X 55 10.9 half thread bolts. Just got a pair with nuts for £5 from my local fastener shop.

Removing my Gearbox and the old earth stap just disintegrated on removal. Does anyone have a link to a replacement? What sort of amp strap should I be looking towards? 170A seems more than sufficient as then I can just run a standard heatshrinked cable or am I best off with a flat braided one?

Get the stretchy ones from J&R but trim off one(?) of the ribs. I've been running one side for over a year and just fitted another on the other side.

Its worth wetsanding to try remove it surely? Nothing to lose at this stage.

I mean it's an easy repair but theres so many clios out there it's not worth the aggro

If the seller is genuine they wont mind taking some photos inside the rear quarters via the rear door cards.

I like the Menzerna stuff but i'm no expert! Could also try a light wet-sand but leave that until last IMHO.

Bad smart repair or similar? Try giving it a full decon and machine polish.

You can always just get a pair of 182 cup hubs and wishbones from a breaker, then fit 60mm coilovers and you have the same thing.

Just filtered the oil into a container and it's just full of black specs. Nothing metallic from what I can see though.

Not yet mate. Just made a start draining the box, removing the shafts and linkages etc. Gonna do it gradually after work until my box arrives from @NorthloopCup. Plan on replacing the aux belt and tensioner as its cracking after 2 years too

It's on Axle stands now resting on some MDF to stop it sinking into the block paving. Didn't realise it was that bad to leave it on its wheels with no shafts in. Fingers crossed no damage done or its another expense added to the list!

Didn't realise it just being sat on them would kill them. I'll go jack the car up and shove it on some stands.
