Thought i would get a thread going to share my experiences with you guys and for future reference to look back on.
Bought car October 2014.
49,800 miles.
FSH, very tidy.
kumho tyres, ktec top mounts, stainless exhaust (not sure on brand but nice tone)
They are mods I noticed while checking the...
have only just noticed while messing around under the bonnet that I have ktec topmounts. Its still got the standard suspension setup so what, if any preference suits these topmounts best?
I'm not looking to slam it as my driveway is sloped but want a nice subtle stance that is visibly noticeable...
have got a noise coming from passenger side xenon light when ignition is turned on.
sounds like an electric motor turning.
I think its the leveling mechanism constantly adjusting from what I can think.
I have just had some engine work done so it could of got knocked.
just wondered if anyone else...
can a dephaser be reused?
mines come out today with no issues with it. Its being changed with the cambelt, aux etc but its not got any issues with it.
is out of a 50k engine.
just wondered if someone needed one cheap.
hmm does sound noisy but you are holding the phone in the engine bay. If I put my head in there I'm sure it would be loud.
Does sound a bit knocky but if your unsure just take it back to who done the work on it and tell them your not happy.
did it sound like that when you bought it?
I see a lot of this "special tools" thing on cambelt posts.
The garage down the road from me work on all cars and they just borrow or rent the special tools from friends in the trade....
ah right ok, I havnt read that post yet, you got a link?
this has got excessive Renault history with everything apart from cambelt done by them. I know that's not always gospel but it all feels tight. Just a lumpy tickover so maybe its just that it needs the new belts.
haha its actually quite embarrassing. I can get then off and keep the standard sized plates for a while its just to damn cold outside.
the bloke who had it was about 60 with denim on denim if that's anything to go by but he did look after the car well
I like the 3/4 plate on the front to fit into the recess. Bit confused on size as some posts are saying 520x84 and some are saying 520x90 so just wanted to clarify.
also want a rear one, are they just standard uk sized or do custom ones look nicer?
