    31st July 92 was the cut off point 3.5% your allowed before that date. After that date its the manurfactures guides but the accepted one is 0.5 at idle and 0.3 at fast idle (2.5~3k)

    Yep normal on the oil front goes black after time. Coolent should be green but ti can chnage. Do you know if engine was filled up at service fully? On a 172 usualy check the cam cover ie under plehham. for oil the cam cover seals arn't wonderful. Also check breaker pipes for cracks.

    F4R is the engine type much like Escort is a type of car. s7360 no idea should be the engine code but it should be 730 your code is probably a rebuilt one so it doesn't have the same code. The D bit is the engine serial number.

    Best get a garge if you don't know what your doing to have a look. It might only have 15k but tensioners on the Clios are usless. ALso its 3 years or so old now I guess which can be just as bad for them.

    Its a close thing with Renault whats worsr the Lgans got a fair few problems ball joints/turbo's/gearboxs on the Lagunas. Good thing there safe cars and nice to look at. My cars been quite reliable for teh abuse its had my parents have had much less reliable "posh cars.

    Yep they do wear out quick there could be other reason thats whay I'd always change springs and dampers together. Stock damper life is difficult to be certain on I killed mine in 50k or so with normal springs.
