Yep went to sleep just as I had posted that.
Yep all my own works no copying off anyone.
I don't like the 15 and 175 rules I've always tried to go by an artcile i red some time agao by the owner of Puma tunning which gave some good figuyres to back up his claim.
Yep superb they were...
Fly by wire means you don't have a bit ow wire between the throttle and the engine it woks instead on electrics.
But you yep you have a manual throttle body not to bad to do the swop as aI said above put a bit of string on the old one so when you pul it through the cabin bay to the engine you...
Nope no affect on warently doing your brake pads yourself.
Nothing to watch out for I'd bleed the fluid though all round when doing pads personally.
Resttting the ECU forget ti sounds like the car has other problems the 1.2 has a load of issues what is exactly wrong problems usually come...
I'd prefere the Mk3 197 race car personally.
Then again there 2 V6 racing Clio up for sale at the moment phase 1 they are. There asking a lot but comnpared to these Lagunas they look cleap.
The low powered Mk1's don't have one.
For the Mk2 phase 2 1.2 and 1.4 etc but not the RS (different ARB design)you can upgrade to the harder ones as used on the 1.6 and dci model which is 26mm from memory the 1.2 and 1.4 use the 22 and 24mm (I think there sizes).
Its been posted before but might mak for interesting reading.
To work out drag you need the Cdp and the frontal area and the top speed car car attains and how much HP the car makes when the cars flat out .
Take for example a car with a Cdp of 0.3 and a frontal area of 3m squared (32.3 feet...
The Cups (which don't have aircon) don't have AUX belt tensioners so its most likly a cambelt tensioner which is expensive to fix.
Its a difficult decision if its clsoe to a cambelt chnage get it done otherwsie maybe when they did a cambelt chnage they didn't(as some garage do) didn't change...
I assume you have a warently if so yep Renault will do it under warnetly.
The stock radio is easy to reove stick 4 thin bits of wire down the hole in the corners of it and pull the unit towards you.
How do you open the multi-changer?
Push the button for a few second and the casstet should eject slightly if not PM me your email address and i'll send you the file showin how to take it to pieces there not that rugged.
Also what type of alarm do these cars have fitted? Standard wise.
Mine...
Superchrage it instead with a speced turbo humm.
Injectors are the big thing for more power the 80's are better and a easier swop but idealy you want custom with a bigger high pressure fule pump to make decinet power stock turbo IMO is good with high mapping and a bit of smoke to about 130hp...
Yep should be some palces might charge a few quid extra.
Giles don't just buy one for the ability to do Renault track days normal track days arn't that much more and the cost to convert just for that is high.
A bit more alive yes.
Best way to to check the compression on the engine and then go from there might be best off rebuilding the engine or if its good a set of cams and custom remap exhaust etc.
A 106 is quick but when the speeds build up its lack of Hp starts to be an issue.
Thing is you...
Might be a daft question but your car definatly does have a cable throttle body doesn't as the 1.6 16V was made in phase 1 (ie cable throttle) and phase 2 (fly by wire) versions.
Its easy to chnage though yep stick some string on it before pulling it through the bulkehead. (so that you can...
