The £1.5k+ Vat is the kit from Matt (telephone 01254386661) he'll supply all the bits you need ie engine gearbox mounts radiator wiring loom driveshafts suspension brakes hubs caliper dahbaord etc.
There are a few places who have done the conversion GDI have done one There a place up North...
Individual throttle bodies is one easy wasy Roamer did it and got 218hp but there a few more you could eak out of a better setup.
You could also do it with stock cams with head work massive intake manifold work (Angelworks) exhaust manifold decat exhaust indurction kit etc.
Also turbo or...
Stock brakes are more than enough with some decinet pads even on track you should be fine with stock pads. Aftermarket good hard pads and you should never have fade.
It will be very load and depending on the engine tunning mapping etc it might lose a load of power I driven for a bit without one and it was just as quick realy but the noise way something else I'm suprised I didn't set the noise meters off on track.
Using 172/182 280mm disk will mean you cannot go smaller than 15's but that no huge issue stock are 15's.
No need to mody the hubs using the none dust sealed caliper (I think mine were the Dynamlight forged ones) brakets are easy to do just measure them up and take the drawing to an...
The big problem is that people wack the boost up and they blow up there are reliable if there done properly.
Have th engine rebuilt and do thengs proprly it will be reliable howver if were on about a Mk2 sheel buy a 172 conversion engine gearbox wiring brakes suspension etc for £1.5k+vat+fitment.
There desinged to cope with the Williams so 150hp.
They will make a difference how much depends if your going to replace the pads and disk bleed the fluid for good stuff plus how good your present setup is and the new setup is.
Cannot beat for feeling (you can beet themif you want though) also have you ever seen a sheep stand upo in court to give evidence. Exactly no prison for me.
Renault standards/amaounts of oil/fluid required for the car.

ELF Renault matic D2 or
Mobil ATF 220.
I had the Willwoods its not difficult to make up a set only need the brakcet making the rest is almost off the shelf.
Stunning brakes though I'd get them with dust seal though.
Different boxes the Williams is the stronge one JC5 vs JC 3 for the valver one.
Its got a stronger casing plus gears are stronger and 5th longer.
They can be used though many people use them without any trouble.
Yep it can be removd but unless the engine correctly modified it won't last long any use at 8k will cause trouble ie new engine. A forum user got his to 8.6k once with a removal but the leads went very quickly.
Best idea is to get it on a track day as engine tunning the 172 is't cost effective.
£1k though won't get you much intake manifold work, 182 exhaust manifold, decat induuction kit and remap but 185 or so not a huge gains however £200 on brakes and £700 on coilovers (assuming tyres are decinet...
Focus tdci not 205hp then again 150hp to 205hp which sounds like there pushing them a fair bit more than they realy should from a reamp.
Mondeo TDCi 175 or so from a remap I think on the powerful ones.
Go for a test drive. i wouldn't get one though only thing going for them over other cars are the rpce but that might say something about the car. You can get the 180hp 3.0 turo diesel for £10k. My work mate has had a Vectra for some time as a courteys car he recons its terribale.
Unlikly he'd forget to check the car his job and the fins and prison sentance arn't worth it.
IF the engine is good condition run some engine cleaner though it plus a good italian tune up (ie drive it hard to the limiter a bit) and give it a try. Whether it passes is unknown some cars do some...
Have a search on the net there a load of free programs out ther which can use the KWP 2000 protocall and there even circuit diagrams for how to make them.
Elmscan and digimoto do run KWP 2000 I belive from memory.
I've yet to find a truly accurate computer game for the ring the surface and handling are different in real life.
Plus theres no reset button in the car the ring not very fogiving as you can see from the video no run off etc and it kills enough people per year.
Best race circuit( sorry toll...
