Long time no update
Both dci's behaving as usual. Clean up as weather has been decent.
Changed dog bone mount on the blue dci as noticed it was torn when i changed the clutch. Oem this time instead of aftermarket
Fitted, 15 min job.
Been using the ac all the time in the hot weather in the blue...
Its really hard to choose a favourite out of the pair. Both are s**t on fuel, the Kangoo is quite refined with pas and electric windows and the torque absolutely nails you in the seat, fast as for what it is easy to drive, good modern brakes with abs. Its something that you can drive day to day...
Updates
Not touched the Extra since its last ride out to Croft. Give myself a goal of getting the repairs done and mot'd for Retro Show at Santa pod on 20th of this month. Only needs a driveshaft and rear shocks fitting for mot he says?!
Jacked up and new gaz rear shocks fitted as i had robbed...
Not much in the way of updates, been using it quite often and no issues. Seen off a 15 reg audi tt diesel with ease the other night the lad driving it was gobsmacked
Waiting for my powerflex front bushes to arrive so can refurb the front end.
Thinking about suspension upgrades. Not sure...
Looks class, i bet its great fun, my old Kangoo used to handle great. Pas wise, as @Daniel said above run the pas fluid on the minimum marker and your issues will be sorted.
Can report that it drives awesome on the road, I reckon this is as fast as my Extra van with around 270hp per ton. Hard to get the power down in first 2 gears but all systems go in 3rd;)
The power has highlighted the wishbone bushes have seen better days so have ordered powerflex black to fit...
Mapping day yesterday. Had prepared as best as i could and packed a few spares "just incase". Steady drive down to Efi made it there in good time.
Pre checks done, fuelled up and parked waiting to get on the rollers. Moggy arrives for a catch up in his epic nimbus r26r.
Waited for Chris to...
It does indeed have a megane pk gearbox with lsd. I think the main issue is it squats so much on boost, ive dialled in a bit more rebound on the rear shocks and going to look at the overall suspension setup and upgrade as ness. Will get some professional advice on where to go with it to keep it...
Cheers all
Just got back from Efi, Mapping went very well and made more power than anticipated, Chris done a great job and feels ballistic for what it is. Its hard to keep in a straight line in first 3 gears so best start looking at suspension upgrades next! Will do a full update in the morning ;)
Ill be buzzing if it makes 360/360. If the engine is a little tired and only makes low 300s ill be happy with that. Beggars cant be choosers:LOL:
Interestingly i found a build thread for the r26 i stripped for the engine.

Last few jobs done
Stainless air filter bracket to stop it resting on the brake fluid reservior.
Purge valve emissions s**t delete with a resistor to keep the ecu happy and no lights on. Had the valve plugged in and no pipes so had to go.
Last job was a good clean up
Full tank of juice ready...
Lsd would sort that out no end, but prob hard to find to suit the box. Sounds like the box is handling the power ok too, jc5 would have went boom by now
Updates
More prep for mapping today, boost circuit leak testing. Essential step as i want all the boost;)
Whipped front end off and bunged the pipes at the turbo/throttle body connections. Stuck 1.2bar in and it held it straight away, no leaks. I was expecting to have to nip a clip up but no...
Old one out and new one in. Turn ignition on and off a few times to prime it and fire up. Sender ring might be tight, a tool to suit will make life easier when removing/refitting
Cheers all. A few years back i used to go mobile and do loads of work to other peoples cars. The knock on was i used to neglect my own cars and no progress to my own, last min repairs the night before trackdays as hardly any spare time.
Ive got another project car ticking over in the background...
Small update
Had my eye on a late clio 200 cluster to replace the 197 cluster that i had fitted. The 197 dials did not offend me too much but not too keen on the silver insert.
197 cluster as fitted, not the worst.
Replaced with 200 cluster. I believe white rev counter was on the last year...
Updates
A few more jobs done
Bonnet gaps were on the piss as one of the bonnet rubber stops was missing. Dear from renault new considering what it is, so ordered on ebay from Germany, arrived in 3 days at less than half the price and oem part number on it.
Fitted, catch adjusted and loads...
Any screenshots of the display? Just sounds a bit like most of the ddt based software thats available for the Renaults. Is it all in English? Ive been using Ren0link a bit, and its hit and miss whether your going to be in english or french. They are all largely the same in the respect, that if...
Did you have vibration issues with no plunge?
I have the same issue regarding driveshaft plunge on the Kangoo, 8mm or so on current setup which is classed as almost acceptable with solid mounts. I measured it on the 250 and found the same result as Scoff said, around 15/20mm.
I believe the 172...
Clicking clutch will most likely be wear on the pedal box mechanism. My Kangoo does it and its highly annoying.
Squib is probably causing the clicking when turning the steering wheel. The mrs meg also done it briefly then stopped so not worried about it since
