Yeah keepin all that
2950 all in fitted including fittin bonnet pins etc
Not charing for fitting bodies as i wanted to fit them myself cos im a mechanic but dont have the instructions made up yet so they offered to fit them for free :)
saves me 450+vat
Just thought id let u know that im having throttle bodies fitted on my 182 cup on monday. Omex are having the car till tuesday so they can fit them and the locking bonnet pins etc. Ill keep you up to date with how it goes and ill add some photos too. Its the Ktec/GDI/Jenvey new kit thats just...
Its probably the pads in the calipers. I took the metal bits out of mine when i fitted new uprated pads. They click a bit when braking when goin slow. Mite be that. if so, forget bout it :)
sorry, just read ur original thread properly so probably wont be this :)
No mate. You can remove them if you really want to. it wont damage anything and nothing will get damaged. There there to just look pretty and make it look neater in the arches. Just cut them about caarefully till youve got rid of the places where it rubs :)
Mine rubs a bit on the road on 16's and coilover at the front of the arch where the bumper mount is. I cut the arch liner away and cut out a peice of metal there where the tyre was touching under hard cornering. This is mainly on track tho tbh. I run 15's on track now so u get even more arch...
1cm ish thats it really. I run 195/50/15 r888's and i cant tell any difference between them and the 205's i run on my turini road wheels. I prefer the drive of the 15's myself. seems more agile for some reason. The only reason renault went up to 16's is the look factor. Im convinced by that. If...
no i agree totally. I mite go for the angelworks jenveys with the airbox thing on them. 2k for them and slightly more gains i think. Who has it on there car?????
Yeah thats what i thought but its not im afraid. I received the email this morning from them regarding the whole kit as im very interested but when i found out it only makes 20 bhp more than a standard car. i couldnt ever, ever justify 3k for 20 bhp. aint worth it. Thats the figures he gave me...
brackets for throttle cable, pedal mods for throttle cable, wiring harnesses, preprogrammed omex piggyback ecu, all sensors etc etc. they have made it so you can buy it in box and fit it all yourself.
No OMEX didnt develop the trumpets. I didnt say that. I said they developed the whole kit. brackets and all. the use jenveys bodies with short trumpets and they have developed the rest of the kit for ktec to sell. Ive been talking to them about it for the last week. Im even going out in OMEX's...
no worries. Ive done loads of research on them for when im on track. they need to be right to work properly :) 20psi is way way to low. I think its about 26-28 from cold providing u can get the temp into them
They are jenveys with little trumpets but like i said the gains are very minimal for 3k plus. The only way to get real power from ITB's is to go the whole hog. Sucking all that hot air in from the rad cant be good
no but omex developed the kit for ktec. For real power gains the recommend Shorter rad and slam panel removal and loss of aircon. Youd have to do this to get the longer trumpets on the ktec kit. They told me this today themselves. Call andy at omex if you like.
Its all about temp tbh. they work at there best between 80-90 degrees. They recommend running them at 32-34 psi when they are up to temperature (hot) on a car that weighs approx a tonne. This info was given by TOYO themselves when i investigated this for my car using the R888 on track. The guy i...
I boubt if you will get them upto ideal working temp on the road. They work best between 80 to 90 degrees. which is hard to keep constant on the road. They recommend pressures when hot on a car that weighs approx a tonne to be between 32-34 psi. then adjust them from there to balance the car...
I can see one major downside to these ktec bodies and its that the air going into the ITB's is goin to be red hot due to the fact that they are right in front of the radiator and have got no real airflow into them. I love them and everything and they look brilliant but its very minimal gains for...
