Ok thanks everyone, the reason i asked is that there are some front spax suspension struts on ebay which are quite reasonable was just wandering if i just replaced my standard front willy struts with these if i would have any problems

is it a good idea to replace the standard williams front struts with spax struts and springs and not bother adjusting the torsion bar?
or will this totally ruin the suspension set up?

rockport, always use a williams filter that has a nut on the end so you can just get it off with a spanner

Just remove the strut from the car, there are 2 bolts to remove at the bottom, connected to the wheel hub and one nut at the top you have to undo by using a spanner and an allen key
