They lengthened the rack on a cup using longer arms that screw into the rack. I've got a rack in bits currently, so I can take measurements if you want?
I run full Grp n cam timing on a standard inlet on my cup and it makes a really noticeable difference to the torque delivery. It's rpm limit is set to just under 8k and it'll happily pull round to that as well. It's on a genuine Grp n Renault ecu as well.
Just an FYI mate for if you were...
If you want it to handle you'll need to lift the front end up. 5-10mm minimum I'd say. It's too low how it currently stands imo. Your roll centres and bump steer will be truly awful as well unfortunately. The chassis on the Clio is good at masking it though, and it's only when you drive one...
^^^ that should read main assistance is done from the spool valve on the column. (I'm meaning where the column joins to the rack as well - not the actual column in the car!)
The pressurised fluid goes from there to the reaction tube in the rack and gives assistance to the steering.
Neil I removed all the fluid out of mine and then looped the rack. Are you sure it's not air locking or vacuuming? Does it do it in the same spot everytime?
On the video it sounds like your tyres are causing a resistance on the surface it's sat on. Mine does it as well. Try it on turnplates if...
You caught James up really fast mate once past the Saxo. Good bit of driving that! Shame you chose to edit out the incident though. Must admit I've woken up with that bird and her cuddly toy or whatever the f**k it is on several occasions. Lol!
Cadwell is such a tight circuit with not a great...
It's mainly pullers that you'll need mate. When you split the casings you need to manipulate the selector lever as well to get it to allow the 2 halves to part. It's when you put the 2 halves back together that you get the best bit. Trying to get the selector into the correct position!!
Its...
Depends on what tools you have available and what your level of skill/experience is mate. If it's anything like a jc5 to strip you will potentially wish you'd never bothered! Lol
