Spotted this afternoon just off epping new road - by the duck pond
had a 182 style exhaust but a normal bumper - was a mustardy type colour? :S
think it might've had turinis too
Re: Mk1 Hybrid Project
if you're taking the head off, the head bolts can be reused if the length (under the head) is < 117.7mm (though ive seen some renault manuals quote 118.5mm)
saves a bit of money :)
Re: Mk1 Hybrid Project
mine still turned over with a shafted crank
you've not had the main caps off? as those in the wrong way will make the crank seize too
I'd get a new engine though tbh.... look at the hassle I had with mine :dapprove:
Re: Mk1 Hybrid Project
no kinglead
just 'activate' the crash switch if you don't want it to run
did you try cranking over? or atleast seeing if the fuelpump primes?
Re: Valver Track Car Project Thread
but the hubs need machining don't they?
just wondering as it looks like a quick and easy way for bigger brakes!
already got the widetrack, so would only need some hubs, brakes and driveshafts
Re: Valver Track Car Project Thread
sorry if i've missed something
but have you used williams wishbones + arb along with 172 hubs/struts/shafts?
widetrack + big brake in one swoop?
you can, yes
you should be able to rev up easily and select any gear without using the clutch... gearbox should feel abnormally smooth.
the speed should rise, yes
oil needs to be drained :)
passenger side setup is different to the drivers side. the CV boot holds the box oil in.
sounds...
Was wondering if anyone could tell me where pin 7 of the 15 track connector on the instrument panel (red - not the 30pin one) goes to on the ecu?
for a ph1 172 (CB0M)
cheers :o
(or alternatively tell me which ecu pin is the flow meter data)
bit of a bump! :D
I've always been 'annoyed' at the valver ext. temp display... huge display for showing 1 bit of info... so I've just spent the afternoon fitting a trip computer!
Current temp (shows in Fahrenheit :( - need to change that)
average mpg (though it's getting the wrong info from...
ok, both valver (C57D) and a CB0T which is a K4M show up as using the same bushes and bolts for the droplinks
