I'm planning on ordering a new dog bone mount tomorrow but need to know wether they come ready to fit from the stealers?
Are Renault the best place to buy from or is there anyone cheaper?
Just fitted one to my replacement stick. They are just a machined aluminium ball so can only assume they are bonded somehow from the factory. Not sure how you would remove one though without damaging it.
I fixed mine myself. Unbolted the broken section from the strut top, found a piece bar, drilled a couple of holes and one through the remainder of the ECU bracket. A lick of black paint, bolt it up et voila. 20 mins, job done plus I factored in the fact that the original bracket was under a...
I thought that they were bonded on but it turned out that the gear stick actually has diamond cut knurling around the top 2-3cm. The white shroud you see in the last picture is then pressed onto the stick. It took about 45mins of prying with a small screwdriver and twisting to get it off.

That's what I need to do. I have a new gear lever and mount as I don't want to hack up my original so assumed that the centre console would need removing as well.
Good job the Cat' needs adjusting anyway as that is a nightmare of a job.
As above, I know the dog bone mount is a fairly common request but the forum crashes every time I use search.
I also need the manifold to Cat fixing bolts/kit part number as mine is rattling like a bar steward.
can these parts be bought from GSF or are they dealer only? Any rough costs...
As above. I need to remove the section of dash which surround the gear lever and incorporates the ash tray etc. I can't see how it would come free.
I then need to remove the entire gear lever mechanism.
Any ideas?
The two options above look very similar to what I am thinking of doing but I think I will run one feed right to the base of the wheel arch and stop the other short allowing two air feed sources.
Are the hoses used 70mm id?
