Superb, just what I needed Rich. My main grey area is wether it is the inlet alone that gives the gains or a matching of the plenham as well. I know where to start now in respect of the head side. I've already had an RStuning remap but if things need adjusting, i'm sure Paul will oblige...

I have picked up a 172 inlet manifold for practically nothing. Firstly, I need to clarify that they are interchangeable between phase 1, 2 and 182? Secondly, I only have the inlet manifold, not a replacement plenham and have never liked modding any part of my car without a standard replacement...

A539's all the way for me. I thought the Conti's were pants. And I have heard that Toyo's are not too hot in the wet.

Lots compared to standard, not sure vs the Cup though.

The ultimate will need a few tanks before you notice any difference. Even then it will probably only idle better and have a little more response on acceleration. I can't see octane booster doing anything as the car will not be mapped for it.

I saw it this evening parked just off of Vicar Lane. Blue with 172 rims, Cup spoiler, Cup and 2.0 16v badges. It looked quite well done but not sure how well the badging will go down.

Since the ambinet temeprature dropped, my MPG has gone down from 35 to around 28. Absolutely no change in driving style and very little that can be done.
