Stripped Out The Rear Properly! Pics

Does the upside down steering wheel improve things ? ;)

    clio vs civic fifth gear

Absolutely nothing in it. I'm not suprised that both were quicker than the boxster though. I've had a few dabbles and all went my way. The FRS was suprising though, although a track which wasn't as tight would prove to be a different story I dare say.

T* RPL, Silver 172 Garforth and Middleton

Silver 172 Cup, I've seen it around a couple of times in both Garforth going up Stourton Lane and in Tescos car park. Also spotted it on Sharp Lane in Middleton. I keep thinking someone is driving my car.

Can someone higher my coilovers? (182)

If you get stuck, I could give you a hand mate. I will be spending a bit of time on my girlfriends 147 on saturday having a look at a misfire so I will be grub'd anyway.

    Corsa MOT failure dilema

Evening bud. I remember that little chat we had, that was just after I got the 172. You brought a tear to my eye with your comments, you heartless swine ;) . Although your expertise was much appreciated. I've stuck a post up on MIG, just seeing what the wider audience thinks. Though you...

    Corsa MOT failure dilema

I'll post on there, cheers mate. I thought you guys may be able to give me a less blinkered view. I mean that in the sense that Corsasport members will all say 'Yes, do it, Corsa's are mint', though Cliosport members will probably all say they are crap, which they are. LOL I'd love a C20LET...

    Corsa MOT failure dilema

Good addition there. My thoughts were that for less than £400 I could have a little toy as the 14XE engines are mighty tuneable. Or I could make a little profit, or could I?

    Corsa MOT failure dilema

Sorry if this is in the wromg section, it is technicla. My girlfriends sisters Corsa has just failed it's MOT miserably on various points, the most concerning of which would be the emissions. I have'nt seen the fail sheet but the HC's were massive by all accounts. The car is an N reg 1.2...

Pic request - cold air feeds

Ive got no decent pic's but if you remove the acoustic valve and run a length of hose down into the wheel arch, there is a very handy vent where the arch runs parallel to the road. Purfic.

    going over the milage

In reality, the extra mileage shouldnt make one bit of difference. It is essentially only an oil change and the aux belt anyway. But who knows when the aux belt will go. Mine is on 43k now as im leaving it until 48k when I have my cambelt done. Dont worry about it mate.

    172 Mpg

I was getting between 35 and 37 mpg until the clocks went back. Since the ambient temp has dropped, I haven't been above 28mpg. I can't complain though as she's been shifting like a rat up a drain pipe.

The bullet has become a sleeper

Can you elaborate on that Bruce? What do you mean by drift? If I was removing the drivers side badge for example, whaich way would I work? Thanking you.

The bullet has become a sleeper

I've not done it yet to be honest. I bought a set a couple of weeks ago from a member on here but he snapped the clips upon removal. I was gutted. I'm going to take real care when I get them through as I don't want to have to whip the silicone out.

Just to annoy those TDI/BMW drivers even more. It's only a MS Paint job for now until Mr Postman arrives.

My 172's stuck outside my local spar

Mine did a similar thing this time last year. I changed the battery and all was good. I sh!t it though as I've never had symptoms like it caused by a dead battery.

    Matching exhaust manifold, worth it?

Cheers fellas. I'll scrap that idea then. I thought it sounded a little far fetched when I saw it on an advertised car.

    Matching exhaust manifold, worth it?

When you say inside Fred, do you mean the internal bore of the pipework and not the mating face. And cleaning up is just that and not hardcore material removal? Cheers Federico. P.S. A mate said he was going to get in touch about an ITG panel filter (DonnyDog), did you get his PM?

    Matching exhaust manifold, worth it?

I'm clued up on what I have researched/already know from experience. In theory, this would be a worthwhile mod' 'somewhere' along the scale but where is the question? The manifold will already be off as I have a 172 but plan on fitting a 182 manifold. While it is being fitted I thought the...

    Matching exhaust manifold, worth it?

I'm currently contemplating a bargain 182 manifold. Now with all the talk about inlet manifold matching, how much of a gain would I see if I matched the exhaust manifold to the gasket? Obvioulsy it wouldn't be anywhere near the gains seen on the inlet side but is it worth my effort/cash?
