Phone your local trading standards and explain what has happened. They will advise you on the correct way to proceed. Done it myself twice in the last 6 months and cant recommend them enough. Hope you get it sorted. Theres no way Id let that monkey lose on my car for a second time if he was no...
Paul - Williams has grown an extra bulge on the bonnet. Dropped the bonnet on jump start lead crocodile clips and dented the fecker. Going to get dentmaster to get it out now Ive finally got a number for them.

Bit like Peugeot going on about how much better the 206 180 is going to be and making it sound really great the, as predicted by everyone but them, bringing out another Cack-mobile that will probably need nothing less than an after market car crusher to improve it.
The blue is lovely. Its almost identical to the Williams 3 colour which I also really like. Id forgotten how nice the climate control and leather seats are. Want another one!
Give your mate a go 40mph+.....as you said, you might just be suprised! (Or he might murder you!)

Glad to hear youre enjoying it more. Much as like like and rate the Williams, Id really like another 172. Just been in mailto:M@thew s">M@thew s 172 (blue, just like my old one) and Ive decided I really want another one.
It might be interesting to try a rolling start from 40mph in 2nd gear...
So far (3 months), Ive just had a wheel bearing go, but it is a wheel bearing that was replaced when I got the car. Munched its way through it in 4000 miles!!!
If mine needed all that doing to itd, Id be fairly pissed off too!
Hmm....yes, see what you mean, but I wouldnt put a sensor after the airfilter ,myself. I was going to do this a while ago but put it before the airfilter. Would be too scared to put a foreign object after the airfilter. I cant just see the smashed up engine now!

Looks like you might have to go to the manufacturer for the additional sensors.
£20 will get you a wireless one from Mapplins. It comes with one sensor but you can buy up to 2 more sensors to use with it (throttle body, engine bay and external or something?!). The Halfords ones look sh*te (in typical Halfords fashion, of course).

No matter what the outcome, it is good to see that nowadays the prevailing attitude is firmly against drinking and driving. Not so long ago it was quite different...
Was only about £30. Not going to give mega power gains (if any!) but Ive always prefered the freer flowing replacement panels to the paper ones. The revs just seem to pick up better. Dunno really, just subjectively more "driveable". Cant do any harm anyway!
