Really weird, the missus' iPhone 3G I gave her won't work on a Tesco SIM after updating the OS...
Everything I'd read had said it would, now gotta wait for 02 to unlock it, any idea how long it takes?
I put a different sim in to try, then iTunes did the rest, don't think it would have with the sim original sim, but I can't be sure.
Do apple supply locked iPhones then?
Not an o2 unlock, but I just got my 3GS unlocked by Vodafone. The f**king arseholes took months of arguing to finally accept I could have my iPhone unlocked. Paid to end my contract a few months early, because since we moved over a year ago I couldn't make a call indoors, and was lucky if I got...
Re: iPhone 4G (No longer rumours)
Am I the only one who isn't really fussed about the next iPhone?
I was expecting to be and was holding off to buy the next iPhone, but having bought a 3GS (so the mrs could have my old 3G) I'm more than happy.

The days of Symbian and/or Nokia et al greatness is over. The 8210, n95 epic, epic phones.
It's all cyclical, Windows Mobile was way ahead of the game back in 2003 ish, then Nokia was on the money, now it's Apple.
Fickle fanboi FTW.
I've got this bad boy, was too good to use as a clock radio, so have it in the living room. It's truly epic. No word of a lie.
£130 off've Richer Sounds.
I use the standard 'contacts' on Win 7, can't say I've had a prob, works well. Don't know of any better solution either, sorry.
Syncing diary is where the problem starts for me.
I use Gmail, and the exchange server workaround. It's faultless, and you needn't buy an app for it to work either. Try: http://maketecheasier.com/how-to-set-up-push-notification-for-gmail-in-iphone/2009/09/24
WTF?
Charlie, does your email provider support Push, who do you use?
Proper Push is an alternative to checking at intervals... Data can be used while on the phone, so why would a call go to voicemail?
Am I missing something here?
