I got a local garage to fit them - cost £40. No need for camber bolts, but you do need to correct the wheel alignment. Any tyre centre can do this for you. It should cost less than £30.

its noticable on anything. But you buy these springs for the handling. If you want a bigger drop get something else.

you can tell. A 172 with Eibachs & 17"s is noticably lower than a standard car.

This is a really common problem - there have been a few threads in the past. As long as it starts at the second attempt it seems to be one of those 172 features. Shouldnt take more than 2 goes though.

Im wondering whether the standard springs are a bit soft. I dont get this problem but I have Eibachs fitted. Although theyre a tad lower they get progressively harder as they are compressed - maybe this limits the travel of the wheel therefore preventing scrubbing. Im assuming the wheels are...

As you can see from the pics both tailpipes look fine. If you favour the oval then get it - who cares what your mate says? Get the full system too not just the backbox.

Do you know what offset the wheels are Hannah? And, are the tyres 205/40/17? <edit> are the springs on the car standard, or is it lowered at all?

Make sure you have lots of rattles, otherwise you might end up with a VW Golf.

Why not put a tape measure against one of yours and see which method gives 16 inches??

Toyos are still amongst the cheapest youll find. If youre happy with them Id get another set.
