The build quality is brilliant for a renault, however I still have exhaust problems on my 197 (knocking noise from around the diffuser area) although its only a minor niggle!

Both are great cars in my opinion, as for the 182 being quicker, Ive had a tussle with a few 182s and cant see any diff (straight line speed) in them whatsoever! Think its just down to the driver!

Its good if you have a bright background, however if you use it too much it tends to make the image very noisy

It went surprisingly well around the nurburgring! wasnt too bad all round really, just the guy driving it nearly passed out without aircon :D

Awesome! you will clock up some miles! i found on the autobahns that the clio will not do more than 138 indicated (134 sat nav)! that was at 7000 rpm in 6th gear, unless mine is a slow one!... on the flat you will struggle for any more!

Yeah there were a few of them testing before the track opened to the public, was good to watch! there was a black 430 ferrari with orange wheels - looked awesome but didnt manage to get a pic unfortunately! :(

I took those with my Nikon D80, just took the 18 - 135 lens which is nothing special - but seems to produce some good results!

Do it! it was awesome! - costs were not too bad either Based on 2 per car our costs were... £205 pp for hotels (3 nights inc breakfast & ferrys) £120 pp for petrol (197 averaged 25mpg over the whole trip) £35 2 laps of nurburgring + spending money (meals and drinks etc) didnt spend...

Cheers, it was a good trip - was great to see one of the locals at the ring using a clio cup race car (197) on the road! after the session had finished he just drove it home! sounded nuts with the sequential box blasting up the main road :D

I was there too :) got there late though so I was in the car park N* NGB RB197 with ring sticker :D Lots of nice clio's there today!

PS the stickers were just for a bit of a laugh (we were travelling in a big group) they are all off now!

Me and a mate took it in turns to take pics of everyone in our group going round! was a bit chaotic but worth it to get a few shots!

Was at the Nurburgring on the 2nd of june (monday evening session) and saw a uk reg black 182, I was in a RB 197 plastered in stickers! got a good pic of you on track if your on here!

I only did 2 laps as time was short and I wanted to passenger in mates cars, but 197 was truly amazing on track! leagues ahead of the cooper s I took last year!
