My key broke the other month. Local garage couldnt get them off so went to Renault. £45 + Vat for all 4 and a few quid for normal nuts and the job is done.

Renault removed 4x locking nuts for me today for £50 quid ish. Doubt they/ a garage would charge much for one.

Cost £86 to have the locking wheel nuts taken off, new tyres fitted and blanced at Renault today. Bit pricey but just glad to get the thing sorted. Next job brakes. K-tech deal for the Brembo hc's and DS2500 i think. Unless anyone can recommend anything else?

Not sure if this is the right way of going about this but due to mine being broken i need to buy a repalcement higne for the fuel cap. Its attached by two bolts and has the sort of slide out hinge that the fuel cap attaches to. For a 182. Thanks for any help

Bump. They cant do the nuts until next thursday. MOT will expire then and i need pads/tyres fitted by then as im driving to stranraer to go to belfast. Dont want to risk it in a car with no MOT. PLEASE HELP!

Renault can do all 4 for £45 + VAT then a few quid for some new nuts. Seems decent enough. Should i just go to them or do you think it is easy enough to get them off myself/help of a a mechanic. He thinks they can be drilled out?

Have a skeleton type key for lockign wheel nuts? Been to two garages who have failed to remove mine since my key broke. MOT failed today and i need these nuts off asap. WIll call renault first thing tomorow but does anyone know if they have the original key or a key that will do the job? Thanks.

I know a boy who works in the garage but isnt part of the MOT side of things. He spoke to me after saying they will do the tyres for free and will look in to the fuel cap. So looks like i should get those sorted. Renault are closed just now but looks like il need a day off work to travel to...

Fecker failed. Bloody idiots couldnt get the locking wheel nuts off so decided to ignore my wish of fitting the new wheels prior to the mot. It then failed on the wheels and front brakes. Even tho it was still failed still a feckin stupid idea to put it thru the mot knowing it would fail. Too...

Ive got said "red thing". Still new to the whole car cleaning idea but from what ive used it does a cracking job. Tends to pull the dirt away from the surface avoiding scratching the paint work etc..

When i bought my 182 from a private seller he told me renault had fixed his gear box with a similar problem. It might have been 3rd gear. Anyway Renault replaced/fitted something that solved the porblem and sicne owning the car from Jan iv had no problems. So i guess the problem does exist.

The car is already with them so it wotn get a chace to be fired up etc... two of the tyres are pe2's and are fine and the cheapy federal ones are being replace by TR1's before the mot is done. All bulbs/handbrake are good. Havent had a look under the car properly at the exhaust in much detail...

Cars been in this morning for MOT, remove locking wheel nuts and fit new tyres i bought the other week. Hoping to feck it passes the mot. The only thing that could be a problem is there is a slight grinding noise when braking after reversing. Would that suggest the bake discs/pads are gone...

Turns out the guy round the corner couldnt get anywhere so the place where the car was getting the new tyres fitted and mot done are able to do it. All 3 jobs done for no more than £120 they reckon. Seems pretty good i think. Just hope the brake pads/discs dont need replacing just yet.

A mechanice/policeman round the corner has the key just now. He said hel have a look at it and reckons he will be able to drill them out. If i can get the outer cover on it should be easy. But there is hardly any gap to get anything to wedge it out.

Gen Renault parts i would imagine for starters? I was quoted £650 at Renault and got both belts done for £480 elsewhere

Right. To put this "impact socket" on top and hit it etc... do i need to remove the outer lip that covers the nut? Would a chissle/knocking seven shades do the job?

If i was able to get them off. Is it safe enough to go about with just the 3 nuts on each wheel until i get replacement ones?

Rite il give renault another call tomorow. I guess they should have a few types of the key in their garage. Im not fussed about locking nuts to be fair. Does anyone know if renault have this facility? cheers

Cool. Ive been able to glue the key back into the right shape. So hopefulyl they can use that as you say. How much do replacemnet nuts cost? Just the normal ones, not really fussed about locking ones.
