Thats the later model. It still has no roof, but it does have a windscreen, which the earlier ones didnt. Lovely car, there was one at the Nurburgring at Easter.

Leave it in and tell them not to change it. Saves you the price of a filter and them a bit of work.

Had mine fitted by Demon Tweeks - if you buy from there theyll fit it while you wait for next to nothing. Absolutely no problems with it (done 15,000 miles on the car now). No knocks, rattles, anything.

Its really loud - you cant possibly miss it if its there. Clunk in 1st 3 gears is probably the engine mounting under the battery - comes loose.

Magnex is available now. Same part number as the Mk1 172.

From personal experience (owned one!) the 1.6 8v really shifts! The 1.4 is a more modern engine though. My father-in-law has a 1.4 16v Alize, goes well but needs to be revved to get the best out of it. To me the 1.6 felt a lot quicker - have you driven them both? What did you think?

Look on the bright side - they nicked the caps and left the rest of the car behind....

Seems a bit on the high side. Mine was about £160 including the oil. Check that they have included the pollen filter too.

Most of the parts on your car are the same as those on a regular 172. Very few parts catalogues will have Cup listed. If you ask for parts for the "Clio 2.0 16v", and appropriate model year, youll be ok.

I think it looks great as it is! The lower valance has nice clean lines that wont be enhanced by an exhaust. Maybe a twin in the centre like the Cooper S would be nice though. Dont go mad it looks good.

You could easily spend a year trying to document all the limited editions - Liberte, MTV, BeeBop etc..

Im sure everyones had at least one little niggle, but in my case none of them have caused any inconvenience, and my dealer has fixed them without any drama. If you buy one you will get: SERV and AIRBAG lights coming on due to seatbelt pre-tensioner wiring (5 minute fix) 4k rattle in centre...

Dont worry. 1. There would be damage to your car if you had done it. 2. Even if the paint on her car is the same colour as yours it wont be *exactly* the same so it wont match. Dont worry. If they ask you about it just tell the truth.

Cant see a nut Ben but theres a shiney round thing in the middle that looks like a cover. Will this just lever off with a screwdriver?

I have a squeak from the rear drum on our Megane. Can anyone tell me what I have to do to get the drum off once Ive removed the wheel please?
