Yes you can put a SADEV sequential gearbox into a Clio 172. The Clio Cup Race cars have them as standard. I think they cost around £6,000, plus fitting. No good at all for use on the road (can only change up when at full throttle), but great on the track. Needs rebuilding every 6,000 miles...

Dai you can probably get your windscreen repaired m8. The insurance company will probably tell you to call one of the national replacement services and theyll advise what needs doing. I had a repair done on one of my previous cars - perfect job totally invisible.

Therell be lots of proper track days next year phil - and youll still probably be the only white Clio!

The forums ok - lots of people from here use it. I think quite a few ClioSport members are also paid-up members of the RSC.

Mike - instantaneous mpg has not worked for several years - our Megane (2000 model) has the same computer as the 172 and that doesnt have it either despite it being mentioned in the manual. As JoZeFF says, you can reset the average mpg while youre bowling along and get some idea though.

The lights are coooool! When youre following another car it looks like theyve got neons! You wont get pulled cos the police have the same ones....

Tony - I left mine parked in an airport carpark for 2 weeks. When I got back the handbrake was stuck on - big CLUNK as the pads broke free from the discs. The pads also left some residue on the discs so I got a clunck clunk clunk every time I used the brakes. It wore off after a couple of miles...

Can you get me a splitter then please abbs?

I wish I could afford them. How much for a set of 17s and suitable tyres for a 172 Mk2 anyway?
