Both work well, and I tend to swap between the two. The Optimum one seems to be more durable, but the Duragloss can be used on a wet car so can be quicker to use.
The Sonus QD will only really add to looks of i.
So for added durability and looks look at - http://www.motorgeek.co.uk/optimum-sizes-p-167.html
or http://www.seriousperformance.co.uk/Products,78,toView_195.html
That is for maintaing a Carnuba finish rather than replacement for.
Use after washing to restore Gloss if the car already has a coat of P21s on it.
There are other spray wax type products if that is what your looking for ? I use Optimum Car wax on my silver 306 rather than using a wax and QD.
There are a few polishes out there for removing scratches from clear plastics and perspex, most are suited for removing light marks from headlights, instrument binnacle faces, helmet visors etc. Not sure how effective they will be on the damage you describe.
Look into the Meguiars Pro Line...
SRP is far easier to use than the EGP which most moan about.
Panel at a time - Small blob (5-20 pence sized) on a foam hand pad is plenty to door or wing. Work it until you can hardly see any left on the panel and remove with a good MF.
Don't slap it on, anything you wipe off is wasted product.
Hit the nail on the head there, the class A to B void is not that huge. Some of the cornering by some of the Evo's over the year has been crap, so the corners speeds they carry is not that great, compared to the tidy not understeeryness of most others out there in the bends. Makes you wonder how...
Like you say the power advantage the group A cars have is silly. By the time the Evos have left the grid they have dropped the pack, a few laps later headlights go on the lapping starts. Leaving lots of other drivers looking in the mirrors. Hopefully this will be addressed.
The exhausts have been mentioned on one of the other forums I have read today - can't remember which one, saying the same. Explains the flames it shoots from the side...
Think you need to read up on the Castle Combe Saloon series and what else is in it tbh, if anything lose the 4 Evos and let the other 30 odd cars in the championship get on with.
The SRP was never going to do much on the Swirls. Less is more with the EGP when you think it is thin enough it is still too thick. Allowing it to sit on the paint long enough is a must.
I only have 20mm more lol!
Nice one, know where you mean, sun has always been wrong when I have tried to shoot from there - was no worries on that yesterday.
The 106 owner is a good friend on mine, was helping Chrissy out yesterday changing wheels etc. Some pics before and after.
Some pics of the day, that I have quickly looked at not sorted the rest yet:
Chrissy in Quali.
Jeeves in the race.
The accident :( These are cropped from...
