I was only thinking it would be more due to the fact it's worth more? I would say to the insurance company its worth the same as my 172 but if I wrote it off they wouldn't give me much for it. Might ring the garage now and see what they say about part ex ing my 172 :) It would be good to get a...
I wanted a 182 for ages, but found a 172 so I got excited and just bought it. I really like the wheels exhaust etc on the 182, and I've found a 182 cup not far from me for £7700 at a garage. So I think I'm going to see if he will give me a good price for mine plus some cash. I was just wondering...
First 255 I've ever seen, and I must say looks even better up close. Had a cheeky look when I overtook. You were taking the leyland/euxton exit off the M6 going southbound.
Apparently so. I'm in the same boat, but I just want the key, not bothered about the remote central locking bit. Went to timpsons and they reckon only Renault can cut one
Likin the black wheels. Saw some in Halfrauds today, forgot which make they are though. Thinkin about gettin some for my flame red to go with the black badges

I took my 172 to the garage on thursday to sort out a screeching noise, turned out I need new discs and pads. Now theres a clunking/knocking noise coming from what sounds like underneath the car when I'm driving. Does anyone know what this could be?
Cheers
You'd be looking at 10-11k for a mint 05/55 with low mileage. Go for a 182 with both cup packs for about 2k cheaper, and spend that 2000 on gettin new exhaust, decat, cams, inlets and remap to take it upto 205/210 bhp. Jobs a good'n, everyones happy.
I doubt you would be able to tell any difference on normal roads mate. A cup would maybe shave a couple of seconds of your track time if you took it on a track day.
Maybe it hasn't been "broken in" yet. Did you buy it from a 84 year old granny who only used it to go and pick her pension up from the post office? And when u had this race, was it fully warmed up?
Yeah I would defo have to save, I'm not minted, I just think I'm on an alright wage!! I imagine a ph2 172 with average mileage will be worth about 4.5k next summer, which means I would need about another 7 for a P1. Think I will just save up money, and decide what the money is to go on next year.
