I've noticed with the weather getting nicer that the low end pick up in my car is really bad. My BMC CDA is currently open as I couldn't work out how a CAF would fit down to the bottom grill. I was just wondering the best place to get a 85mm flexi CAF and how the hell it would fit?? Cheers

Haha. It annoys me sometimes this website. People feel like they can't express their honest opinions. Who cares if people disagree. Like I said, they are growing on me. With a few mods, could easily get 210/215 bhp out of a 197 which will cure it's biggest downfall (lack of power)

I've decided I'm gonna get some 182 wheels. Can you get them in dark anthracite. How much and where could I get them from?

Welcome to CS. think you need to chill with the moaning already though. People are allowed to express their opinions, hense the idea of a forum. The looks of the 197 are growing on me, the power:weight ratio is the killer in comparison to your old 172 cup.

I'm just wondering if anyone knows where I can get either an RS tuning vinyl decal or a GDI one for my bonnet? Obviously I only want a small one to go right at the edge my bonnet so it doesn't look tacky and gay. I want one to replace the hillpower one thats on it atm. Cheers

Ok seems like the general opinion is don't touch those wheels with a barge pole! I think I will go for something simple. Do 182 wheels look good on flame reds, can't say I've seen one with them on!!

Haha just weighing up all my options. Why do wheels have to be so expensive? I really want 17" OZ superleg's with toyo tyres, buts its about 700n odd quid inc fitting.

Sat in one at the weekend. They look sh1t hot from the outside. The only nice bit on the inside is the leather recaros. The air con dials look weird

I hate to admit it, but I like my mates Astra SRi turbo. The older one (think it's an 03 reg). They new range are much improved though. Would mind a blast in an astra VXR, not sure they would let me as I'm only 19

I think the 182's look better. But it's whether you can justify the extra cash. If you can live without the climate control and cruise control u should be fine!!

It's only illegal to drive without insurance. If it's on your drive then theres no problem. Unless someone smashes it up or robs it, then your screwed cos you will have to fork out for it yourself. But surely you will need to drive the car back to where u live anyway?

I would much rather have an astra VXR as well. Look better, and obviously more power. But I understand why people associate them with being "chav". I think I might just get a monaro vxr

corsa VXRs are 189 bhp with a 1.6 turbo lump. Prob a fraction of a second quicker than a 182 in a straight line

Mine did that yesterday. The service light came on as well. I got back in my car after work and both lights had gone off! Not sure what caused it!

Doesn't that cost about £1600 or thereabouts? Its a possibility though if it really is worth it!! Ant, I don't mean to sound like a muffin, but wheres the acoustic valve?(I'm quite new to all the mechanical malarky on cars)
