Yeah, a guy in our street has one and its a nice car for sure. No faster than my 172 - probably a bit slower in fact, but it does handle nicely. But the price??????? Another 2 or 3 grand and youre in Scoobyland!
Whats the problem with the chat room anyway? I was using it with Jas, Roamer, Rhys, Stu and one or two others last night with no problems that I could detect. I like it!
Anyhow <a target="_blank" href="http://homepages.tesco.net/~mmikee/Bedford/index.htmhere are some pics. Some from the factory where the Palmersport cars are maintained, and some in the pits and on the track.
Daipac - drop me a line at mmikee@tesco.net - if I send you a CD could you post the lap video somewhere?? Tried to get broadband myself but Pipex told me today that I live 900 metres too far from the exchange, so I cant have it
I think MarkB got one not long ago for his 172. Id say about £100 if its mint though, but probably less if its been on the car a while. New ones are £175 I think.
I dont have an induction kit, but the Magnex basically gives a nice rumble at low revs, gets quite loud at around 70-80mph in top, then the noise becomes less noticable inside the car as you go faster, but much louder from outside. If you see what I mean. Roamer has ordered a k-tec exhaust so...

Ive sat in the seat of a 172 cup and it was fine! I think this is one of those things thats grown out of all proportion. The seat is exactly the same as a standard 172, but covered in fabric rather than leather / alcantra. Changing it would be a long way down my list of mods.

Yeah, great hol thanks Geoff - back at my desk now (and surprise surprise bored already!). Have a great day next weekend - wed have come up to Donington but Vals parents are coming that day ;-(
Ive got some which Ill post later. Quite difficult to get really got shots of the cars at Bedford as the track is quite a way from the spectator area. I got a great in-car video of a whole lap, but its 22Mb :-(

Y not? Its just an interface surely? Pinouts, baud rate, protocols and an application/presentation layer - not that it would mean much to me but Id like to bet I could get the comms to work even if the ECU was a mystery! Cant believe its just a load of pins set high/low for different ECU...
The Magnex also looks the biz - you can have 6x4 oval or twin 3.5". Either looks the biz but heres mine:

Nick youre right about the 172 - point & shoot, & any mug (even me) can drive it. But i have to agree about the Williams being an icon - Id have loved to have been able to afford one a few years ago when they were introduced; I think one mag said Renault should be congratulated for having the...
