I changed mine at 6000 and it was still quite clean, glad I didnt leave it until 12,000 though. Done another 4000 since then and the oils clean as a whistle.

Totally different technology mate. The lights on the 172 are more than just Xenon bulbs!

Try them out - dont worry about going back to the garage for more than 1 test drive. Its gonna be yours for a long time so make sure YOU are happy with your choice - dont worry about what anyone else thinks!

A bit worrying isnt it. I wonder how many people would have taken them at their word? A subsequent warranty claim at 15K would doubtless result in a refusal on grounds of not having followed the proper service schedule. Potential nightmare!

Just hose it off and wax the car - unless youve got birds unlike any Ive encountered its no big deal!! What do you feed your local birds on - H2SO4??

Get an exhaust or (presumably) an induction kit if you want more noise. Pipercross panel filter makes no difference to the noise (I have one). Magnex exhaust is utterly brilliant! (I have one!!!!)

He was meant to stick to the inside of the corner - the idea was to get the car to oversteer. He finished up (1) on the outside, (2) 150 yards further than he should have travelled before turning! I actually took the camera from my eye at the last moment cos I thought they were going to collide!

I get a blip between changes now and again, but I think its just because I have the seat so far forward - makes lifting off the throttle a bit hit and miss.
