The pump is engaged only when A/C or climate control is turned on. Its a parasite on the engine and will sap power and lower economy. Exactlly the same as your altenator and water pump. You can get devices to turn off load from the altenator (alt-power or somin) and electric water pumps, both...
Cut cost elsewhere! Im required to have a new car but given freedom id have the 200sx everytime!
One of the most balanced, easily tuneable oversteers Vs FWD shopping car (admittidly the best shopping car tho)
People are just doing you a favour, like telling someone tackfully they have BO, is similar to pointing out you have a 7in exhaust and clear rears. Not nice but you are now aware of the problem. :D
The MON rating should also be taken into account, and i believe Ultimate is actually superior.
The value gives the anti-knock properties of the fuel. A higher number means more compession/advance can be used before pinking is encountered.
RallyPug, i have nothing to do with Oilman, but would imagine the Silkolene Pro S 5w40 would be advised. Expect to pay around £40 for 5 litres inc VAT/Delivery.

Im not advocating that 0w-40 is the solution to all engines as they vary so much due to modding and set-up.
What I am illustrating here is that an sae 40 (be it 0w-40, 5w-40, 10w-40 or 15w-40) is still an sae 40 and at...
largerlout, thanks for the pic, how does this kit sound tho as i heard the enclosed filters like that dont sound great? Im sure the inlet is in a better place tho :)
bsimmer, thanks for the offer but im guessing your in essex area so a bit far from me in somerset. Says they supply the elbow and vent now so thats less hassle :)
Lareglout1, Why do you say that?
Thanks for the feed back, not really one for believing induction kits make much power difference, really just interested in noise and something which looks well made. Seen Reverie stuff on lotuss and looked fantastic.
Any pics you have would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Paul.
Cheers, as i thought. ill give em hell when i pick the new cover up and give Renault UK a bell if they still refuse. £30 aint f-all but i really begrudge paying this for a fault on a new car.
Just under a month old and part of the undertray (near-side, front of wheel) has broken and come down into contact with the road.
Pushed it up clear and popped into Renault where i was told it was ~£30 and not covered by warrenty. WTF bits of plastic falling off arent covered??? Is this...
What about the reverie filter, someone posted a pic a while ago and it looked the part (and cost it) but not sure on claimed gains or if its now on sale.
For all above who think that you wont be taken to court over a pair of blue bulbs check out case number 4349521 @ woodspring magistrates court way back in 1998 ;)
Escort cosworth is a legendary car and everybody should experince one, even if in my case the hype was bigger than the car, lol.
Everything you could possibly wanna know will be answered on http://www.passionford.comwww.passionford.com, dont bother with rs owners club, went down hill ages ago...
Why are you not selecting the correct gear during braking ready for use straight away to balance and then accelerate.
You honestly see this as a useful technique for the road?
How does this effect balance that much in a Clio (FWD) car? Weight is transfered over the front wheels anyway and will simply need adjustment to your braking pressure to prevent locking.
Heel-toe on a road car is generally awkward, you have to realise that where this is used (on-track) the cars will have pedal boxes with well posistioned pedals to exactlly suit the driver.
Cant see the need on the road, gains f**k all on the drive home and the standard clutch is up to the job...
If the filter is a restriction you should deffo replace it. Turning the boost up with restriction may cause increased inlet temp, higher chance of det and increased EG temps, thus leaving less power and a molten engine.
Doubt the filter is actually much of a restriction tho, but worth...
