Right reply as promised wash and clay as needed.
Not a big fan of chamois leathers would ditch that for a microfiber drying towel to be honest.
Right onto the machine polishing, I attack all the larger areas first with the full sized pads and then the smaller areas with the spot pads.
This...
I thought I had posted (deleted?) it already but that pub on Tuesday night was odd.
Why they could not put the food on the table etc (no announcement that the food was there or what it was), not the friendlist pub in the world IMO.
Food was not bad though and had a big carpark.
Cheers come over an have a chat, hope it is summer by then!
Meguiars All Purpose Cleaner - http://www.cleanandshiny.co.uk/ProductDetails.asp?ProductID=9871
Take the daily drive bus!
Yeah should do nicely.
Cleaned them with Megs APC, will treat the plastic liners with AG Bumper care (beads the water nicely) then will spray a load of AG Vinyl and Rubber under there ! when I do the tyres on the day at the show.
Just a Regular Wax - using it as it is fairly durable and I was not impressed by how it looks on the paint so need to use it for something!
Was using Megs 16 before which works well.
What product you looking to buy? For the glass?
Glass is Cleaned with Zymol HD cleanse and then all but the front screen waxed with the Titanium. Got mine of Ebay when it was being sold cheap.
I am half way through giving the car its yearly polish ready. Have used Menzerna Final Finish on it...
Zymol Titanium Gareth.
Plastics been deep cleaned with Einszett Plastic Cleaner, will dress them on the day - AG Bumper Care on the textured stuff, Einszett Vinyl and Rubber on the Smooth.
Would take me all day to write my list. A few of the major areas.
Finish machine polishing the lower half of the car.
Apply the Zymol Destiny.
Dress Arches.
Polish, Seal and Wax the Wheels.
Interior.
Exhaust.
Wax the Glass!
Used to run the S on my 309 and 205 GTis, Fine in the dry or in proper standing water, crap on wet or damp roads. Drive a friends 172 which is running the R's - fine in the dry, not impressed in the rain or damp with them, seem as bad as the S. Would go for the F1's TBH.
Yeap ESP but no traction, as I found out when I drove Dees up the Hill at Pugfest on Sunday! You wont have the switch no. Later cars got the switchable ESP and traction control on the switch by the dash lights dimmer.
The Silver Cups where all later than 51 plates I believe, at least 52, but...
Early cars have ESP but not traction. Later cars had traction which turns off with ESP together on the switch. Have not noticed the light on my freinds 172 which is a very early phase 2 172 (Y plate)
