Using one on the 182. Apart from the a few odd drops of water to wipe there is no need to dry the bodywork at all, bar drying the shuts etc. Even in bright sunlight on black it will dry spot free. Sheet the water off and nothing more than a breif wipe with a soft MF is needed. No need to dry...
If it is that rough even a machine polish wont sort it out. A light wet sand will be the only way, add a couple of extra coats of laquer first if your worried.
Depends how many stages the machine polsih involves and time taken. £200 upwards is a typical rate for a proper machine polish / Defect correction and swirl removal, there is much more to it being done properly than a once over with some G3 for an hour or so.
I would be asking exactly what...
Any one that is going to by rotarying you car on a decent Pro level should have a paint thickness gauge anyway to take some readings before they start.
Oil and filter change on return and you should be fine. I have read about putting a drop of oil down the plug holes if it has been stood for along time aswell.
You can use the P21s over the SRP and EGP if you want more durablility.
For out and out looks, though very poor durability the Glaze adds lots of wetness and gloss to the paint. You can use the SRP before it, then after the VM use the P21s so just ditching the EGP as it wont bond.
Wash, Clay...
I used to use Clearkote Vanilla Moose Hand Glaze and P21s wax on my old light Blue car.
Interior Plastics - Poorboys Natural Look leaves a clean and fresh factory matte look without gloss or stickyness.
Be fine stood for 6 months, starting it and not getting up to temp will be worse than leaving it stood. Only thing I would worry about would be flat spotting the tyres.
The fuel may go off so dont leave huge amounts in it.
The Sonus Carnuba Spritz is a lovely product works great on Carnuba Finishes - one of my fave QD's.
The CG QD is also nice, though I used to use Megs Last Touch for drying as it is more cost effective.
Depending on the amount of defects and how perfect the owner wants it. At least 3 or 4 hours for a basic machine polish and seal up to 10-24 hours for full show quality correction.
Foam hand pad. - Like the Megs round yellow ones.
Shampoo's Wise:
In Bulk sizes:
Shampoo Plus
182 Gets either:
Swissvax Car Bath
Sonax Gloss Shampoo
Duragloss Wash
Megs NXT Wash is strong enough to strip wax, so flys should come off easily at the same time!
On a well waxed/sealed paintwork car shampoo is all I ever need.
