"A Garage", I think were the words the guys used! Apparently I have to write to them to say what work was done and by who. As long as its "a garage" everything is cool!
Decided to have a word with Tesco now that Ive had the old bus lowered. Surprisingly they said it would have no effect on the premium provided it was done professionally. WOW!
GR - I lowered mine with Eibachs - it doesnt make the ride hard - nothing like a CTR anyway, and it will improve the handling. Mines still on the original 16"s but I wouldnt have thought it would be a problem with 17"s as the car sits so high on the standard springs. The Eibachs will lower your...
I dont really want to get into this one, but I have to take exception to this statement:
Reading anything else or listening to anyone else is a WASTE of time because NOBODY knows what I know
Now maybe you had sunk a few beers when you wrote that, and if so you wont need me to tell you that...
My car is now about 1.5 inches lower - so a little more than 30mm but not much. The ride is a bit firmer, but the car recovers its composure more quickly after hitting bumps & broken up surfaces.

Blimey Ben, 3 adult passengers in a Megane convertible??? I can barely fit a 6-pack in the back of mine! The back seats were so useless I bought a roadbox which replaces them most of the time.
Thats a shame, I thought that looked good too. Still hoping to get an S1600 spoiler though, although no-one seems to know how to get one. Incredibly, Renault dont even know how to SELL me one!.

wallisj - Part number appears to be 10-75-001-01-22PROKIT RENAULT CLIO B 8V, 16V.
Anyhow, thats what it says on the Eibach invoice. Have a look at http://www.motorsportworld.co.uk thats where I got them from. Might be best to phone rather than order online - I spoke to Simon he was ok...
Had my Eibachs fitted today. Nice! Not a dramatic difference but just right. Tracking was a couple of mm out afterwards - remember to get it checked if youre dropping your car.

I like the look of the roof spoiler on the S1600 in the gallery. Anyone have a part number for this, or any suggestions where I might get one (my Renult dealers never heard of this car BTW).

Man-Chun - look at the first message in this topic - I ordered mine today from motorsportsworld - you can get em on the website or call 01357 529291 (I spoke to Simon he seemed to know what he was talking about).
Ive been offered an Eibach Pro kit for £116.67 + £9.40 p&p. Is this a good price, and is this a good mod? Its from motorsportsworld.co.uk. They reckon it gives a 30mm drop. Has anyone fitted these springs to a 172? What did it cost for fitting?
Thx, Mike.
It depends what you are comparing it with. The 172 is designed to run on super unleaded (98 RON). Ive never used this. My comparison is with ordinary 95 RON unleaded, and I think thats why so many people notice a difference. Whether it makes any difference on models which are designed for 95 RON...
Have a look at www.shell.co.uk - lots of info about Optimax. In my experience it does make a noticable difference. The engine is smoother and accelleration seems (even) more eager.
