My car is now about 1.5 inches lower - so a little more than 30mm but not much. The ride is a bit firmer, but the car recovers its composure more quickly after hitting bumps & broken up surfaces. Mike.

Ive been offered an Eibach Pro kit for £116.67 + £9.40 p&p. Is this a good price, and is this a good mod? Its from motorsportsworld.co.uk. They reckon it gives a 30mm drop. Has anyone fitted these springs to a 172? What did it cost for fitting? Thx, Mike.

It depends what you are comparing it with. The 172 is designed to run on super unleaded (98 RON). Ive never used this. My comparison is with ordinary 95 RON unleaded, and I think thats why so many people notice a difference. Whether it makes any difference on models which are designed for 95 RON...

Have a look at www.shell.co.uk - lots of info about Optimax. In my experience it does make a noticable difference. The engine is smoother and accelleration seems (even) more eager.
