The Carbon ones are laquered to make them shiny so will chip like normal paint. The amount of abuse the lower front end of the 182 gets it is going to as the front valence does normally.
The standard item is just plastic so it won't chip.
Most of the range of Colours suit the 182. All need viewing in different lights as some are not as nice on dull British days.
Got to be Black Gold though ;)
If you want to use EGP, you need the SRP so I would use that rather than the Poorboys World Professional Polish.
If you want to go just for a wax or not use the EGP, either the Poorboys World Professional Polish, or Polish with Sealant may be another route. I have not used either.
Another go with the SSR 2.5 will strip the sealant and wax.
If they are isolated defects, target them with the SSR 2.5 on a 4 inch Yellow Light Cut spot pad. If the overall finish is still not to your happyness, go over it with the 6 inch Yellow cutting pad.
Re the pressure, I bear down on...
How much pressure did you use?
To remove most scratches chances are you will need to step up to and use the Light Cut SFX 1 pad.
Chance are tou found the limitations of the PC on that sized pad aswell - The larger pads are also not that usefull for removing the isolated deeper marks, this is...
Clay shears off things that washing alone won't. You glide it over the paint which is lubricated with a detailing spray. It is like a bloak of plastacine/blue tack. Should leave you paint smooth like glass. Halford's sell the Meguiars kit.
Best of dissolving tar with the Autoglym Tar Remover as...
Work the SRP until there is little or nothing to remove, getting the right amount is key to this, you should only need a 20 pence sized blob to do a door, wing, quarter of the bonnet. Any residue that is left just buff away straight away.
I leave the EGP on at least an hour before removal...
