As suggested above, run the power cable through the hole in bulkhead on the passengers side, about central and about 2 foot up behind the deadening material. Best thing would be to attach the cable to a screwdriver to help force it through the hole and remove the cooling reserviour in the engine...
Lowering is fine in my opinion, unless its matched with a tarmac scraping body kit. Even freds clio, and thats the lowest your going to get, looks really good as it isnt over the top.
Its a body kit that can ruin the car, not lowering.
The missus bought a yaris last Jan. Have to say that honestly the clio is a little better than the yaris in std form. My sister has a 1.2 dynamique(53) and the GF has a 1.3spirit(53), the yaris seems to ride much higher and rattles as much as any clio, the clio seems to feel more sturdy and...
All cars, bar a few exotic ones and the ones that have already lost it, will depreciate by around 50% within 3 years. So whether you lose 5K on a £10 car or £25k on a £50K car is immaterial, it will happen and theres nothing you can do about it.
The point to the thread wasnt about losing...
Cups were a great idea, regardless of some peoples view of it being a cynical ploy by renault to get rid of shells in preperation for the new version.
Most manufacturers dont listen or care what people say and just soldier on blindly. At least Renault took a little notice of what the customer...
Get rid of the sound deadening in the cabin, drop the std seats for buckets and lightweight alloys. Id leave the AC as it will be arse to remove and refit, get rid of all the rear cards and replace the belts with harnesss.
Its not just renault. VW- Beetle and the new Campervan BMW- The Mini and thats before you start on toys. In the UK they are currently going back and re releasing all of the toys first sold in the 80s & 90s. But thats for another thread ;)
Renault tried to cash in on the success of the 172 cup, which in my opinion is an amazing car. It took balls to do it, and they got it right first time.
This time, they just havent gone far enough. It was supposed to be a stripped out, hardcore car that people bought due to its rawness.
Think you lose all the toys, bar the ABS (as its a legal requirement on new cars). They are something like 20Kgs lighter, and will have the cup suspension set up.
All in all a pretty pointless car when for a few quid more you can have the 182 with all the extras and the cup bits. Cruise...
It looks ok in parts, but its going to be tough turning it into a sport version as it looks to upright. Think this will be one you need to see in the flesh to appreciate them
Yup its going to be the 2L NA again, but pushed up too around 200bhp people in the know have said. So expect the RS Clio202 sometime in the spring 2006, complete with rattles
Must just be on popper like the rest of the plastic panels. Just be careful when removing it and it should just pop out, but those little sh*ts break really easily.
My advice would be to find the clip and get a couple of screwdrivers either side to leaver if off. Ill check mine at lunch and...
Mum had that on her 1.2, only 12 months old and the "chip on top of the engine was dead"(her words, as told by the garage), not the ECU but another one. They just swapped it out and it was fine. Might take them a couple of days to get one in though, but its only a 20 minute job
As already said, dont bother. Losing the wheel well will be costly, why not get a custom system made at powerflow thats a twin exit just not in the centre. Or just go down and see what they can do
