Which SSR have you got ?
I would not use more then SSR 2 by hand.
To get them to brake down and do there job properly requires a machine or lots of elbow grease. They need working till there is nothing left to remove in order for them to be effective which is very hard by hand.
Work in very...
I use the Poorboys Bold and Bright or Blackfire Gel myself. Tyhe later is my chosen of late.
The Endurance bottle I have has been sat on the shelf for ages now.
I use AG Engine and Machine Cleaner or Meguiars APC as they are both acid free - cracking out the Autoglym Acid Based Wheel Cleaner if need be.
On my own car I just use Megs Hyper Wash Shampoo and APC as needed.
Polish and seal them after cleaning and then soap and water should be all you need.
What have you tried on them so far Aberclio182?
Endurance is not a bad product Brand, look ok, and lasts ok, but it attracks dirt to it in no time at all.
From another thread the other day.
EXTERIOR TRIM
All Exterior Trim Cleaned with Einszett Plastic Cleaner
Textured trim dressed with Autoglym Bumper Care Gel, Smooth trim with Einszett Vinyl Conditioner, Upper Front Grill with Poorboys Natural Look Gel
Window Rubber Seals with Swissvax Pneu...
As in etching in the paint from bird crap?
With some work yes, Scratch X is a defect removal product they made hand application freindly. Defects like that are better of fixed by machine.
The prep work on my car was all done by machine using the Poorboys SSR range of polishes.
Working by hand I would look at:
Wash - Sonax or Chemical Guys Wash'n'wax and a Lambswool Mitt
Dry - Sonus Drying Towels
Clay - Sonus Green Clay
Swirl Removal - Meguiars Scratch X
Polish/Paint Clean -...
Working by hand your best bet is Scratch X rather than the CK Compound.
Clay will only remove the bonded on muck.
Working by hand with the scratch X will be hard work but should improve things.
Re:
I found the same thing when looking for a really nice 205 GTi. Like you say you may have to wait a while for the right car to come up. Those with the good ones will be keeping hold of them.
Is a handy bit of info. Annoys all my friends in the Peugeot club that are dying to find out that kind of info about there cars but Peugeot don't know or care!
