As long as the panels are dry and not freezing cold to the touch you should be fine. Depends on what product you use. Any wax or sealnt that needs to stand for a while before removal will be a nightmare. A wipe on wipe of carnuba wax like P21s will probably be fine.

Autoglym Engine and Machine Cleaner or Autoglym Motorcyle Cleaner here, agitate with a brush, rinse/wipe clean with water and clean cloth, then dress with Auotglym Rubber Plus, Autoglym Vinyl and Rubber Care or Einzett Vinyl and Rubber.
If you get it polished it will go shiny, they could use a satin mop or linish it off to give a duller finish, but it wont replicate the look it was from the factory.

Be carefull what grade of bead they use to blast it all, too course and it will pitt it to much.
Will probably turn the metalwork whitish looking though.

Sand paper will work on the high spots but not the bits in the pitts of the casting.
