Fine or normal will be ok, just avoid the aggressive ones.
I use the yellow foam applicators to apply stuff, you will also need some decent Microfiber cloths to remove products, ideally a couple for each product being used in the process.
Ease of use
Pinnacle Souveran
Collinite No. 476S
Collinite 845 Insulator Liquid Wax
Meguiars NXT Generation Liquid Wax ( will remover anything below as it is a cleaner/wax/sealant)
Meguiars #16 Paste Wax
Durability Best to Worse (not really an issue if you are using a sealant beneath it)...
Price wise you cant knock the 50/50 for what you save over the Souveran, is also said to be quite durable. Souveran only lasts a few weeks, a month at best - I did a quick half and half on a panel on mine in the garage and could not tell the difference.
Souveran is a long term fave on my car...
Done a few Diablo red Pugs.
AG SRP and EGP topped with P21s looks really good.
Clearkote Vanilla Moose Hand Glaze. Poorboys EX-p topped with P21s wax looks great to but is not as durable as above - but looks slightly better.
Mate had just got some Jeffs Acylic Jett Sealant to try on his...
EGP is sealant with waxes in the blend.
XXX is the same product as Poorboys Nattys Wax, on Black if that is your chosen route get the Poorboys Nattys Blue, looks very wet and glossy, but lacks some of the depth of other waxes though, and is not the easist on or off.
The Collinite is great choice for winter for durability.
Other waxes will look IMO better but not last along.
My current faves on Black are Pinnacle Souveran, Chemical Guys 50/50 and the recently purchased Swisswax Onyx.
www.polishedbliss.co.uk is the only place I have seen in the UK to sell...
Cloth seats?
Should be an easy fix with Autoglym Interior Cleaner.
They do two, a spray bottle one or a foaming can. The foaming can version has always worked well for me.
On red for me, working by hand or machine for the polishing satge?
By hand:
Wash - Duragloss Wash and Serious Performance Lambswool Mitts
Clay - anything mild
Swirl Removal by Hand - Megs Scratch X
Paint Clean/Mild Polish - Autoglym Super Resin Polish
Sealant - Jeffs Werkstatt Acyrlic Jett...
I would vote for Autoglym Super Resin topped with Jeffs Acylic Jett Sealant, EGP is good, but Jeffs can do the same thing in a few hours rather than 3 days of waiting for the EGP to cure etc between layers.
Winter prep on ther 182 the year before last year took days to get multiple coats of EGP...
On all Blues I love P21s, when I had my light blue 306 and mid blue 205 I could not find a wax I liked the look of as much as P21s on them. I have a blue car to do in a few weeks so will test some othert things on it for you.
Clearkote Carnuba Moose Wax looks nice on Blue.
Nah totally...
Well it can either be economical OR fast, personally 3 hours at 57 mph you may as well drive HGV!
I would have rather had some fun and paid the fuel bill :clown:
Paint, Glass, Wheels use it on the lot!
I do the paint, then the glass and finish the bar off on the wheels before it finds the bin. Get your moneys worth.
Finally got round to trying some Swisswax products I have purchased over the last few weeks. The 182 had been out of action with a flat battery, with this sorted I took her out for a Sunday morning blast and treated to her to a clean.
Paintwork is in ok shape, could do with polish but that...
