20K! I cant think of anyone whod pay that for a williams - number 002 or not....
You could find a decent example and practically replace EVERYTHING for less!
there has been quite a few "debates" on this - some say that the OE spec 185/55s are the only thing you should use as the car was designed with these. TBH though i wouldnt think itd make that much difference!
I have the willy suspension setup on my valver and im running 195/50s -handling is...
Just noticed this for the mk 1 clio - does anyone know what it consists of?
Might be a good option for someone whos stripping their car out - less messy and a bit more functional.....
As above;
i know they are the same engine but as far as i know the ancilaries can be in different positions - will this matter and will it work with my loom etc?
Reason i ask is someone is braking a r19 16v near me and everything is available - hoping to get the head cheap for some...
Recently, ive had the willy track fitted and there is no comparision to how my 16v used to handle (standard or not) - the willy setup is superior in every way and is the best mod i have had done yet! Granted im down 35mm but even if i had the std willy springs, i think itd be hard to find a 16v...
Cant remember how much off hand as they had an extra bit of work with it as the s/h column i got from paul still had an ignition barrel still in it but no keys to remove it - they had to drill this out before transferring my one across. If you tell paul or whatever source youre using to do this...
Id expect to pay about 50-70ish quid for a weld if you can find a garage thats willing to do it in the first place which is kinda unlikely up here as theres no specialists and theyd be worried about come-back if it fails.
I think new columns are about 160ish from renault but as i said on...
You wont be able to use the 1.4 loom but i think a loom off any R19 16V/Clio 16V/Williams will work so scour the scrap yards/breakers etc and you should be fine.
Wheels: Either williams or R19 16v phase 1s - both in white if it was a black car. If not then williams or 16v phase 1 wheels,
Windows: Tinted of course!
Bodywork: Standard, except for RSI/R19 skirts and K-tec DTM splitter
Suspension: Lowered 35mm on standard shock with williams wider...
Not really a fan of either as their a bit too refined but hold a gun to my head and ill say cup - purely because its supposedly more performance orientated. Then again if its a mk1 172 id have that as they look better......
Not quite, R19 16v track is ever so slightly wider (by about half an inch or so) and is down to subframe differences. This is why you cannot use both R19 16v shafts in a williams.
Does anyone know anything about this conversion?
Sounds interesting but no-one seems to have had it done so would there be any issues with it?
Would this likely to be more rewarding rather than putting a megane bottom end on my 1.8 considering cost?
Also how much more power over a 2ltr...
LOL no worries!
Also on the lookout for a rear spoiler - spotted this > http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2473626066&category=10410http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2473626066&category=10410 on ebay. Has anyone seen these in the flesh before? Think it...
Was thinking about k-tecs dtm or PMCs splitter after seeing yours Tom - looks well smart! Also been loooking at the entire joker kit and wondering if i could stretch to it....dunno whats best considering ill be keeping the phase 1s....
Right folks, im after some suggestions!
A while ago i hit a pheasant which broke my bumper mounts and, in the next few months, i am looking to get the exterior of the car tidied up so im looking for a replacement. So, what bumper do you think would suit my 1.8 16v best?
It cant be anything...
i think theres a turbo wiliams on here (see tuned section) > http://digilander.libero.it/pureclio16vdrivers/index+.htmlhttp://digilander.libero.it/pureclio16vdrivers/index+.html
but its not k-tec/bb - some foreign jobby....
^what ben said. 120bhp will be a big increase over what youve got but its not going to be a particularly quick car at the end of the day IMO. Youd be better to up the capacity first then look at turbo kits etc if its not enough. Another thing, id doubt you can argue for the conversion from an...
Best places are either on here or contact paul at infinicar - youll be looking at anything between 800-1000quid. Outside those two youd be doing well to find one. You dont need to change much - just drop the engine in and plug the 2ltr ECU in.
