Right,
my 16v is booked in thursday for the willy front track conversion so im just checking to make sure theres nothing small ive missed out. Ive currently got;
Willy wishbones,
Willy shocks,
Willy ARB,
4 ARB bushes and clips (2 for the wishbone end mounts and another 2),
R19 16V...
Say you click on a part to get the number and it has the option of several different numbers in a drop-down box - what does this mean? Can any of them be used or are the minor differences to be aware of before choosing the correct one?
Thanks
I had the same problem with mine. For various reasons i removed my PBV (which was never set correctly) and it has improved it - still idles low after a blast but no longer cuts out. Probably unlikely to actually have been the PBV but it could be agrivating the situation if its not set 100%...
dunno about the 1.7 but the 1.8 rsi has efi (which was based on the 1.7) so maybe.... Cant say that loosing the benefits the 1.4 has would be worth it for a efi equiped untunable 1.7 turbo though!
The the GTT block would have been designed with turbocharging in mind wheras with the 1.7 it was a bit of an afterthought considering it started life as a n/a unit. IMO its pointless choosing the 1.7 over the 1.4 as itd be heavier, probably less reliable, less potential (not really considered a...
In a way yes but since its flowing the coolant to the radiator at a lower temp, the exiting hot coolant will then be replaced by colder coolant thereby reducing the overall temp.
Get a BB Low Temp one out of preference - think theyre about 15quid or something. Since youre getting a system flush at the same time itll only take about an extra 20mins or so. TBH youd be better doing it yourself as its basically a "money for nothing" job.......
Thanks for that Ben - think ill probably go for them then.
I did email Paul at Infinicar about it and he said when he once fitted R19 driveshafts to a willy he had problems with some knocking (maybe tripod joints) but i think for the price its probably worth the risk......?
I find my lowered valver a bit "twitchy" but i think this is more down to the fact that since my accident im not as confident as i used to be. My lowered megane (accident car) felt more stable but then again that was a bigger car, more robust and didnt go as fast. Its more than likely that...
Yo,
my phase 1 1.8 valver seats arent height adjustable but id like them to be so the seat can go lower! I take it its just a matter of me getting a seat frame from another clio to suit and bolt it in but will result be able to go lower than my non-adjustable seat can?
Can anyone recommend...
The offsets should be the same - the willy wider track is simply down to different wishbones/driveshafts/shocks/ARB. Remember if you compare the wheels, phase 1 16vs are half an inch thinner than willy or phase 2 alloys which may make them appear different.
Hi,
a few months ago i posted up that i was planning to retrofit the williams front track to my 1.8 and have so far assembled all the parts bar the longer driveshafts needed. I know the R19 uses the same wishbones and ARB as the willy so the question i have is....
...would R19 16V...
Whats best - silenced or not for the centre section?
Getting one made up to mate with a magnex backbox and bb de-cat so need to know if thered be any difference in performance? How loud is unsilenced anyway?
